I am not a swimmer, but need the pool for physical therapy. This swimming board keeps me afloat while I exercise in the pool.

This seems like it's made for a child. Yes, it floats well and is sturdy but I didn't fell confident that it would support me for the duration. It did but I was not excited to use it a second time.

These kick boards are VERY SMALL, probably for a child. Not very substantial either, sort of flimsy

I tried this while in the pool and application ratio of this device to assist beginners to keep afloat is zero! But this type of kick board should be able to assist in the kick/swim process and it fails. This device is so easy to submerge and provides no support. I do not recommend this as a learning to train device.

I spent last weekend with my nephews at the creek and they didn't know how to swim and they were scared to get in past their ankles. Mostly because they had not been around the creek very much. They were wearing the arm floats and I gave them the board to push around and get used to it. Which brings me to my first observation for an improvement and that would be to put a rope hole into the end to catch it easier when they let it go and it is floating down the rapids. The rope hole would be great but not a real necessity. It is an ideal size board for a a child to lay on and learn to paddle their arms and kick their legs and they can see the result of what they are doing when the board moves. It was a great tool to help them learn to swim and I do recommend it for that. I plan on doing the same thing again this weekend as well and I enjoyed the board myself . it doesn't slip from underneath you when you are floating on it but, it doesn't stick and pull your skin like some things will do.Other than the above this is just simply made rubber type board and its made very well. I will get another of this brand most likely and its not a bad price at all.

This Aquamentor Lane 5 Swim Kickboard is a nice addition to our lake fun. I love the updated design from when I was growing up. The addition of the cut out slots for your hands to hold onto the board is so simple but life changing. I remember that the most challenging thing about using these boards was keeping your grip holding onto the sides. Our young grandson has been in swim lessons for a couple of years and is very comfortable in a pool and in the lake (always in a life vest). But he loves to move about and this is one device that allows him to get around and get the idea of kicking to propel himself through the water. It is a smaller size than many and easy to store. It serves its purpose and I recommend.

The handholds near the top of the kick board work great for me. They provided an easier grip with my hands in a more natural position when I’m further back on the board, allowing me to breathe more easily. Of course if you want to be higher up on the board just grab the top edge, or wrap your arms around it for kicking on your back. The board certainly floats well, and dries off quickly as it doesn’t absorb any water.A kickboard is a fairly simple device so there isn’t much else to review. I also don’t consider myself to be an expert on swimming; I just do it as exercise. This one is just basic and has a very reasonable price to go with it.

When I was taking a picture of this, I thought it looked way too small for an adult. But I watched a video about kickboards and see that this is indeed adult-size. I have bad shoulders but want to get exercise, so I figure swimming with this to rest my forearms on will be perfect. The price is very good compared to others I’ve seen as well.
