They're cheap and they work. I've used the 5s for plasma cutting. They're a good shade for that use. They are adjustable length, but they're not the most comfortable option and they do not fit well over glasses. You should wear a full face shield when cutting, especially if you aren't very experienced. These are a good spare/backup option in my opinion.

Excellent for plasma cutting, oxy/ acetelyne cutting and anywhere you need shade 5. Very clear no distortion. Excellent wrap around protecting the eyes. The green tint is very clear with zero distortion. I will always have a pair of these in the shop and on my welding rig

3 out of 5 Stars (3.4)⭐⭐⭐[TL;DR][QUALITY] (4/5)[VALUE] (4/5)[EASE OF USE] (3/5)[MET EXPECTATIONS] (1/5)[PACKAGING] (5/5)[REVIEW REMARKS]I should have researched a touch better. these are not suitable for welding according to the safety standards for welding eyewear. These glasses are lightweight, well made, and comfortable. However, after reading a couple of reviews suggestion that these glasses are not dark enough to weld with, I went searching for the safety standards for eyewear and welding.I am not a welder, but I would like to use my stick welder a touch more. I have a shield, but it is not the greatest, comfort wise. When I spotted these glasses, all I saw was 'welding' and I do not know the proper standards for welding eyewear. These, apparently are not enough. Darker lenses are suggested for welding, stick welding glasses should be darker between 10-14 shade level. These are 5, half the darkness required. Are these crap glasses? No. They are comfortable, fit tight, and do not fall off. Are they suited for welding? No, apparently not.I do wish that standards were followed better. These could be dangerous, especially to unsuspecting people that do not know better, like me.These are not suitable for welding, but are OK for other applications requiring eye shade cover.I cannot recommend this product, but I rated it fairly based on the quality and comfort, and did not focus on the elephant in the details. Not recommend. False claims for welding standards being met.In the event that experiences change or evolve, updates may be made to this review to address such developments.

They are exactly what I was looking for.If you do any amount of brazing or cutting with oxy-acetylene then you'd benefit from this product.
