I couldn't find medium flow nipples to replace the Spectra ones that had come with the new breast pump our DIL received when our newest grandson was born 8 months ago. Since our grandson had grown impatient with the slower flow & wasn't finishing his bottles on the days we cared for him, I wanted a faster flow to encourage him to finish the breastmilk we had thawed for him. Not only did he take right to them after rejecting 3 other brands, but they fit his wide mouth & regular bottle rings both just fine!

We tried 5 different bottles and 4 different nipples and this was the only one my 4 month old daughter would take. I highly recommend you give these a try.

My daughter loves these however they seem to tear easily at the top and are difficult to get back into the top ring after being washed. She likes them, so we use them.

I'm a pediatrician who has counseled hundreds of moms on making the breast to bottle switch, so you would think that I would easily be able to get my baby to switch over, right? Wrong! It just goes to show that babies will do their own things & have their own preferences despite how much moms know!! Unlike my first baby who took the first bottle I put in her mouth, my 2nd baby would not take anything. I borrowed/bought about 7 other types of nipples & used every trick known to man to get my daughter to take a bottle. But NOTHING worked. So in desperation I turned to the internet & found that a lot of moms had success switching their baby from the breast to bottle with this nipple. And you know what? My daughter wouldn't take a bottle with any other nipple EXCEPT this lansinoh nipple. So hallelujah for the lansinoh nipple (!!) because she didn't take a bottle until the day before I was supposed to go back to work. I don't know what we would have done. Also - I originally got the nipple with the lansinoh bottle but we didn't like it because every time you placed it in hot water to warm up, it tipped over. So I was thrilled to discover that the nipples work perfectly on our Born Free & Avent bottles. Thank goodness for this nipple!!
