I have my own back yard chickens but I only have a small flock of 8. So we usually get 6-8 eggs a day. Way more than we can eat, so we often give them to friends, family and neighbors. These 1/2 dozen containers are perfect. We can easily fill one a day and still have a couple left for us. The plastic cartons are great because I can put a date sticker on them and they peel right back off. They are very heavy duty and washable and reusable. We almost always get these back from the people we give them too. We buy duck eggs too and even duck eggs fit in these cartons. I gave these a 4 star review only for these two reasons. First, he edges can be a bit sharp on some of them and cut you. Second, the little buggers almost close too tightly. They can be hard to get back open. Especially if you only have one hand available to use.

I requested these egg cartons for review.I often gift my beautiful chicken egg to friends. For some people, a dozen eggs is more than they can use. So these 1/2 dozen egg cartons are perfect for gifting eggs to those folks. I also gift 1/2 dozen eggs to people wanting to try my fresh eggs. These clear egg cartons are great for showing off all the amazing colored eggs my chickens lay. These cartons are plenty sturdy for 1/2 dozen eggs. The plastic is crystal clear and enhances the egg colors. These cartons are reasonably priced. They open and close fine, once I got the hang of doing so. It is sometimes hard to fit the extra large or double-yolk eggs in these cartons.I wish these plastic cartons were more eco-friendly. When I gift eggs in these cartons, I ask the giftee to please recycle the cartons responsibly.

These Do hold Jumbo eggs easily with a little extra room. I didn't read it well enough. Each only holds 6 eggs. I could easily deal with that. But the locking bubbles are offset. They do NOT SECURELY LOCK. That's a deal breaker for me. Going Back to my usual supplier all my customers like those from Groz?

We have a small flock of 5 chickens plus a rooster. We usually get about 4 eggs a day - they can add up quickly.I found these cartons easy enough to use. The eggs sit in individual cups which have a small pedestal on the bottom of the cup. This gives the egg a little bit of a cushion if the carton is set down harder than might be advisable. I didn't do a drop test, but it seems to work. The eggs do rattle around a bit in the cups, but they seem to be separated enough that they don't hit against each other.. The cups are large enough to handle big eggs, including one large one (see photo) that probably has a double yolk. The half-dozen egg capacity is good for the number of eggs we are usually dealing with. I expect this design would not work as well if expanded to handle a dozen eggs, but that's just a guess. The cartons are very light weight.. This is a good size for giving eggs to other people.,The transparency of the plastic is a feature in that you don't have to open the carton to see how many eggs you have. The lid snaps closed with a fastener socket on either side and two on the front edge of the lid/base. When snapped together, there's a small gap of around a quarter inch between the lid and the base - presumably this is to allow some air circulation. It also makes it easier to snap the carton open.I don't know how much repeated use one of these cartons will stand up to over time, but I expect they should do well enough - and a pack of 120 should meet our needs for a long time.

Even better than I expected!! Thank you for a perfect way to store and sell our duck eggs. They certainly don’t fit in a chicken egg carton! Easy close and open and easy storage/stacking
