I use these to put my homemade sourdough bread in! First I wrap my bread in a linen cloth, then put in bag. It keeps my bread fresh and soft for over a week on the counter. Love these bread bags!!

The quality is awesome...Just had to air out for a few weeks before I felt comfortable putting bread in it. Not the kind of thing you would wash and hang-dry, due to the wax. Seems to keep the bread usable after 2 weeks in the firdge. No mold yet. It should be noted that the instructions are not very clear on how to close the bag properly. If you flip it on itself, it wouldn't look like the photo. Should have clearer instructions. It is pretty huge, btw, and there are 2 of them.

These are awesome. I had no idea how well these things worked until now! These bags gave a really nice texture and they’re a great size. They hold in my breads moisture without making the crust damp and sad. I believe these bags have truly helped preserve the lifespan of my homemade bread compare to storing them in my usual method which was wrapping them in plastic wrap. I love that these are reusable, large, easy to clean, and easy to use. I highly recommend!

I have made several bags such as this from scratch using the same materials listed for this item on the product page. It was a Covid project for me that was quite messy and time consuming to mix the melted beeswax, pine resin, and jojoba oil together so I appreciate being able to order this product and not have to make them! At the time of my order it cost $28.99 for two bags which seems reasonable for the quality. The wax layer on these is a separate cotton muslin liner sewn inside the bag and the outer green checkered cotton does not have the wax on it which is nice. They are very well made with binding on the top edges for a nice durable finishing touch. The 13" x 17" size is large enough to store loaves of different shapes and sizes but tall loves won't work if you want to seal the bag.I think this product should have come with printed instructions for usage and washing especially if it is to be given as a gift. I had to go back to the product description and scroll through the pictures to understand that you need to roll or fold the top over to seal the bag and then the clip/buckle holds this fold shut. The product page recommends only rinsing the bag with water for cleaning and this will work fine if the bag is only used for bread. I have had success washing bags like these with a tiny drop of natural castile liquid soap mixed with water then rinsing thoroughly. That process did not damage the wax coating and made me feel like the bag was more sanitary, however, this was not mentioned on the product page as a recommendation for this product.This would make a nice gift for the bread artisan in your life who values natural, non-plastic storage options.

Love these bags! Very useful (fold and close to the needed size), conserve the freshness of my sourdough bread and practical and appealing to carry. Highly recommend!

Having used plastic bags to store my sourdough in, I would experience mold growth within a few days. When you work that hard on something, the last thing you want is to have to throw it away when you still have some left. I tested this and left a third of a loaf of bread in it over a long weekend while we were away. Came back and my bread looked great! No more plastic bags for us! It is also plenty big enough for a large loaf and you can roll it more before clasping as your loaf gets smaller. The only thing that I wasn't clear about was how to wash it.
