Sort of tedious to put together but not difficult. Sounds like rolling thunder but could be worse. On the plus side, the two cats both LOVE this. It’s sturdy and the quality is nice! Great first wheel for the price for sure.

Overall it is a nice product, but it is clunky. Assembly is easy, just a lot of screws where you really need a drill. If I put these screws in by hand I would be hurting. I also wish the rug was in smaller pieces, 8ft of rug is hard to manipulate on your own. Finally the wheel due to being wood is a little miss sharpened and grinds.

We have four cats. Two of them took a liking to it almost right away, and with a little light prodding with one of their wand toys, were using it unprompted within a day. The eldest cat has shown some interest in it, but hasn't seemed to figure it out just yet. The last cat, who is basically afraid of his own shadow, has not used it, as expected.Assembly took a bit longer than I expected - i had to remove and flip one of the individual wooden boards on the wheel as it was bumping against the metal wheels that allow the larger structure to rotate - but is generally straightforward. An electrical screwdriver and a buddy to help you out will definitely help, but you don't need to be an expert or anything to put this together by yourself.Recommended - great bang for your buck.

I checked the parts against the instructions and had what it said. The first step is putting together the whole wheel itself in three sections before attaching them together by screwing in the slats to the curved frame. I got 2/3 of it done before I realized that the number of slats I had which matched the instructions was incorrect and I was missing one. I would’ve asked if there was a way to get the missing piece but I was already a little skeptical since the wood feels unfinished and I got a couple splinters and the screws, while having pre drilled holes, don’t sit flush against the the surface of the wood so they stick out a tiny bit. There’s 90 screws needed to complete it. I also had 4 loose wheels included that were not mentioned on the parts list or assembly instructions separate from the wheels already attached to another wooden part for the base. And there were the remnants if a large insect squashed and ground across one of the slats that I was going to install last. I was happy to be getting a more eco friendly wooden wheel but I’m going to be returning it and getting another plastic one like I used to have that snaps together and has fewer parts that sit flush. I’d say this is poor quality for the amount of money and work to assemble it. Maybe it was a fluke but I was dissatisfied.

Package arrived with all needed pieces, hardware and a screwdriver. I began assembling following the directions amd quickly realized it was tons of screws and grabbed a drill. Once drill was in place, assembly was pretty quick. I have 2 bengal kittens, they are a little afraid of it right now but they have tried it out a few times. Quality seems good, size is xl. Not too noisy when cats playing on it. Appearance is nice with the wooden planks. Ok value for the money.

Good rendition of other wheels out there, without the high cost. Good quality, good direction for assembly, good price for size and style. It also is bare wood, which could be stained or painted for custom touch. I still have bare wood, so far. Still thinking about how I’d go about a custom touch.

The instructions were somewhat easy to follow ( I've never built anything like this before).A drill and maybe a second person would probably make it easier and quicker to build. I was by myself and only had the screw driver that came with it. It took me about 5 hours to build it ( I had to restart at one point because I thought there was a missing part and started to take it apart to return it). My cat instantly started playing on it so the time and effort was worth it.
