this mat is of high-quality and fairly large so make sure you have the space on your desk for it. It works great as a mouse pad.

This is a quality mouse pad in the standard extra large size. It's big enough to accommodate 2 60% keyboards or 1 full size along with room for a few mice. It has all the standard features you would expect from a desk pad including a non-slip base and a durable stitched edge.The actual print on the pad is very clear and well done. It's super legible and well organized.There is one thing to keep in mind though. Nobody who uses Linux is using this mousepad to help them with commands. To be honest, every decent sys admin is going to know the basic commands listed here. The details most people would need help with, the options, aren't listed on this mouse pad. So you will have to use your terminal to refresh your memory anyway.Having said that, it's still a cool gift. If you know somebody studying computer science, or perhaps a bitter IT veteran, this is just a cool novelty gift. It looks nice and it works well. So I would definitely feel proud to have this on my desk and would gift it to others as well.CONCLUSIONWhile the educational value is limited, the nostalgia and usefulness of this desk pad / mouse pad are both very high. I have an obsession with mouse pads and I plan to retire a few others and use this for my main workstation, at least for a while. It's definitely a gift worth giving and receiving. Enjoy.
