I use potato mashers for many things.When the grandkids are here and I expect they will turn their noses up at their veggies, I'll mash them up and mix them into something I know they will like.When I make chili or beef-n-beans, I always mash half of the beans so the dish is thicker than just adding all whole beans.The handles on the typical potato masher can cause me pain or hand-cramps. And I've managed to bend the mashing part of many a potato masher because they are made so thin.That will not happen with this masher. It is a VERY thick and sturdy metal and the handle is something I've never seen before in a potato masher. And the wide, thick handle makes it VERY easy to mash up everything and anything without causing cramps!I'm recommending this to everyone who wants to mash things and wants it to be quick and easy!MADE IN CHINA.

My last potato masher fell apart and I wanted one that was more solid this time. This one fits that description! It is heavy duty and should last. The one issue I had with it is that the holes for mashing are on the small side, so it's harder to get going, but it works well.
