For being the cheapest laser measure I found on Amazon I took a risk and I was definitely not disappointed it does what it needs to do fairly accurate basically does the job would recommend.

Great tool for inside measurements. I use it in residential construction on lumbar old and new. I get better inside measurements than with tape measures. One draw back is readout is in decimals, so you will need to convert into fractions if used in conjunction with a tape measure for saw cuts. Example 81.362 is a strong 81 5/16 or a weak 81 3/8. If you are not familiar with decimal values of fractions this could be challenging. I have found the measurements to be accurate and trustworthy.

The first one sent out would not power on. Changed the batteries from the ones they sent to the ones I had, still would not power on. I returned it and they quickly sent out a replacement. I used the batteries that came with it and once again no power.. checked batteries and one battery they sent was no good. I put my batteries in and it powered up. Tried measuring something and got three different readings..

The Good: Easy to use after a short learning curve. Batteries included! Makes measuring interiors a breeze.The Bad: The batteries included are cheap, but enough to prove the device works. It's fun to play with so you have to hide it from co-workers.Overall: I work on a military base in the Middle East. I had to create an accurate building diagram to include power/comm outlets. The problem was though the building was basically a square, the interior walls differed in thickness. So I couldn't just measure the door jambs. I got it done, but this device would have made it so much easier. I did go back and confirm my measurements and I was (mostly) correct. Next time I'll be ready. Recommend.

This is a really nice laser measurement device. It's accurate and small. The buttons are easy to figure out but the instructions help at a glance. You can cycle through the different units by long pressing the origin button. That's the button that determines if you are measuring from the start of the laser or the base of the device. I usually use the base. There's an icon that shows it. Most of this is in the product details so I'm not sure how other reviewers missed this bit. You can measure 5'1", 61 inches, 5.12 feet, or 1.43 meters. It's something like that at least with correct numbers.Two AAA batteries are included and last for ages.
