This set has everything needed for installing a 'Click-Lock' type of floating floor in vinyl, laminate, or engineered wood. The 'pull bar' in particular is excellent, with a padded face to protect the flooring surface. The knee pads and suction device are useful extras usually not included in similar sets sold in the 'big box' stores.The hammer and mallet are inexpensive but solidly made and more than adequate for the task. Suction devices in general are not useful for textured 'wood grain' or other irregular surfaces but can be very useful on smooth surfaced flooring (this is clearly noted). The tapping block has an offset edge which can be useful on some T&G geometries. The expansion spacers are of the adjustable overlapping wedge design, I prefer spacers with two or three fixed dimension edges, but both designs work and my personal preferences do not imply any loss of utility in this kit.A professional installer would buy better tools, but most of us only install one or two floors in a lifetime. This set is a real bargain.
