This product is poorly designed at best. The glass cutter doesn’t lock in place so it’s nearly impossible to have a clean straight line by the time the bottle is rotated 360 degrees. This causes your bottle to split off the line when going through the heating and cooling process. Find a better product. One star is being generous. Its flimsy in its entirety.

This rig works great, but there's a small learning curve to it. The instructions weren't exactly the best either. I have spare parts and no idea what they're for. I tried an experiment for you all as well. No, you can't use the anti-vibration rings instead of tape - they will break. Also, I found the tape makes it easier but isn't altogether necessary. The sandpaper was junk, either that or glass is just hell on sandpaper, I used both sheets plus one of my own on just the first project. I personally have a disc sander so in the future I'll be trying that, but yeah, sanding is the worst part. It was easy to set up and use though, and with the sight tightening with a hex key the arm stayed pretty rigid. I haven't tried a wavy cut yet but I think the rotary cutting blade is up to the task. Pretty happy with it, I'll be making candles from beer bottles!
