Buy 2 sizes up. See photos I took. Ordered an XL and the waist was about 8 inches across, my hand almost covered it. I took a second photo with a 16 oz water bottle laying across the waist to show how small it is. The waist is really tiny. Otherwise the skirt is pretty, fabric feels comfortable.

I've always liked the tulle skirt look. But I'm a little curvy and they tend to make these for skinny girls. I got the XL and it fits my 40" waist fine. It's comfortable to wear. It has a satin feel slip/liner built in. And at $20 it's pretty much a bargain. The tulle is full and I was surprised that it's described as cotton in the description. The tag on the skirt says polyester. Most reasonably priced tulle is polyester. It washed well in the washing machine but I did drip dry it.One thing that I wish they had done - put in simple belt loops for the ribbon sash. I'm going to look for some matching ribbon in a 1/4 inch and make them. But it would have been nice if they had done that even if the price went up a bit. I just know I'm going to lose the ribbon if I don't attach it. Or maybe I'll just sew it to the back of the skirt elastic.... hmmm. That would be a cost effective way to do it if they decided to do that.Can't wait to wear it out. But I think I need a party to wear it to.
