Excellent product with distinctive, loud sound. However, be sure to use the felt washers provided.I mistakenly left some of the lower hi-hat cup on my hi-hat exposed. Its hard plastic sleeve destroyed the bottom rubber grommet. The replacement part is Bottom Grommet for LP485 Part ID: LP485-BG. Order some replacements. Unfortunately, I have a concert day after tomorrow and my order will not arrive in time.

This is hard to get used to at first but once you get everything adjusted can hold it down.

This high hat is the most important member of our Latin band.

I was excited to receive my Hi-Hat Shekere until I realized it did not come with a stand. I had to go and finda stand. I use it with several groups but have to use sparingly because the sound can cut through the other instrumentswhen playing smaller venues. I like this product and would still recommend the buy. Solid construction.

This is a great idea, but poorly executed. The instrument is too heavy and it's difficult to 'flip' it upwards with normal spring tension on your hi-hat to get the up-stroke sound.Alas, there aren't many other options available. I kept mine.
