I'm really quite impressed with how simple it is to get data out of this unit. Just plug it into a computer, wait for the light to stop flashing, and you have CSV and PDF files ready to go. These files contain a full printout of each measurement recorded, as well as min/max/average readings, and how many times temperature and humidity fell outside of the alarm conditions set. The PDF also contains line charts, and highlights each alarmed reading in red.Annoyingly, no battery is included, but it's a bog standard CR2032.Starting and stopping logging is also easy. Just press the start button to wake the unit, then press and hold it to start recording. To stop, you press and hold the stop button. Or, you can set start/stop timers for some automation. Short pressing the start button cycles the screen through current readings, min/max/avg, and other data.Unfortunately, you do need the PC software to change any settings, like recording interval. Since I already had a TZone data logger, this wasn't a huge deal. It's pretty intuitive and works well, and offers some other data export features. I do wish you could do without the program, but it does at least prevent somebody from inadvertently or maliciously changing settings.Build quality is slightly on the cheap side. The plastic case feels pretty sturdy, but the plastic cover over the screen and buttons feels flimsy. The whole unit doesn't feel especially fragile, just not super nice.Unlike my other TZone logger (a TempU 07B), you can only set one high and low threshold. The other unit lets you set two high and two low. This isn't a huge deal for me, but something to be aware of.Overall, it's a pretty decent little data logger for the price, and I don't really have any complaints, aside from it not coming with a battery.

I am using this device in a storage unit to ensure that my stuff doesn't overheat or freeze. Plugging the logger into a Windows machine it shows up as a drive with a pdf and csv files with details on the heat and humidity it has seen. To change parameters you need to download configuration software from the manufacture's web site. The software allows you to set alarm boundaries, polling timing and Celsius and Fahrenheit.
