After the initial unboxing and daylight photos, I jotted down a full screen shopping list and tucked it into a pocket of my purse with only its magnet pen to keep it company. I forgot to click the tiny little tab on the bottom that locks the notes against erasure. However, only aspects of my text were missing when I pulled out the tablet in the store. A minor inconvenience, but if you’re the forgetful sort, opt for the leather case option to avoid accidental erasure or damage to the tablet.Takes CR20 3V coin batteries. A little tray on the bottom that requires mini screwdriver to open. The first button is included and installed: straight out of the box, it's ready for work, which I deeply appreciate. No charging required.Pretty blue-green “ink” on the black screen. Text is as if written with a fine-point pen nib. Need some light to read by, however; the writing doesn’t glow and the screen is not backlit.Feels like a phone in the hand, but weighing almost nothing.Pen has a strong magnet connection to the tablet itself, but can be knocked or tugged away with ease. It was nudged away as they were carried in a pocket of my purse, with nothing else inside. It was dislodged just from the friction.Just enough space for a shopping list or urgent note to keep from forgetting something. If you’re the type to go through reams of notepads, post-its and index cards…like myself…then it’s a good purchase at a decent price. Save a tree. But if you’re looking for something massive, to take notes at a meeting or in class at a lecture or something where you need a lot of information retained over a large space—remember that this is a MINI tablet. It’s the size of a cell phone, and that is the sum total of the writing surface.A little side note for people who don't read descriptions before buying: this has NO USB ports. There is NO CONNECTIVITY to PCs, laptops, phones, et cetera. You cannot download your notes from this tablet. This is a replacement for notepaper, nothing more. It does exactly what it says it will, like a mini dry-erase board in your bag.In short, I enjoy this tablet, and will get a LOT of use out of it, because I am a compulsive taker of little notes. It won’t change the world; it’s not reinventing technology, but it’s saving some paper in its own quiet little way.

========================================================================NOTE: Product being reviewed is ASIN B0DP2DLDYB, ad entitled:"LCD Writing Tablet for Adults: 6.5 Inch with LeatherCase Full Screen Reusable Digital Notepad Portable Usefor Office Study Teaching"Price at the time of my order was $11, with a 10% coupon available.I received the product at no cost for review via the Vine program.NOTE: The version available for Vine reviewers did not come with theleather case; the price for the version with the leather case is $18.========================================================================I'd seen various LCD writing tablets like this advertised for quite a while, and wondered whether one could actually be useful as a little drawing pad next to the laptop, for jotting down quick notes or scribbling diagrams during a conversation or so. So when this particular version showed up on my Vine list, I thought I'd have a look. (NOTE: The Vine version is the bare tablet only, no leather case.)My reactions:Plus:* It does basically work as advertised: Draw on the screen with the supplied plastic stylus, and erase with a button on the back. The stylus magnetically adheres to the right side of the pad (no magnet on the left side.) Displayed stroke color is light blue. There's a little erase lock-out toggle on the bottom edge that disables the erase button. So that's the shtick. As expected, no surprises.* Dimensions shown the ad are accurate: 6" long, 3" wide. Easy to toss in your pocket, like a phone, although the stylus will probably fall off if you do so.* Comes with a lithium button cell installed.Minus:* Visibility is barely acceptable even under bright lighting, and essentially invisible in any light condition other than "very bright". To be fair, the ad does clearly state that the product is intended for use only in bright light, but honestly, even in very bright room light it's not all that visible.* Construction is kinda neo-kid-toy-ish, possibly even derived from a kid's toy version.Summary:* Given its marginal visibility in other than very bright light, it seems a little overpriced to me at $11. I received it at no cost for Vine review, but honestly, would not have been very happy with it if I had paid 11 bucks for it.

This review is for the single sided model. As is clearly stated in the product description, this tablet needs to be used where plenty of light will fall upon it, as readability depends on how much light is reflected off a subsurface layer. [If the manufacturer is reading this: make a version with a low-powered backlight, please.] Under the proper conditions, it’s good for taking ephemeral notes/making quick sketches/&c.—the line have smooth edges and look like they were written with a greenish sharpie. There’s a button on the backside which when pressed instantly erases the screen’s contents. I quite like that the included magnetized stylus “snaps” to the tablet’s side.[Disclosure: I received this product for “free”—in quotes because the IRS considers the item’s retail value as taxable income for federal income tax purposes. This review is my personally written—not AI generated—honest opinion, and is uncensored by the seller.]
