When I opened the package I thought that this corkscrew was very flimsy for a La Creuset product and that is what it proved to be. It broke the first time I used it. I had been looking for a Screwpull corkscrew as I had one of those for years and this seemed like a similar product - I couldn't have been more wrong! I will not be buying a replacement.

Bought this as a gift. Second time used to open bottle of wine it failed to penetrate cork properly and arm snapped in attempt to remove from bottle and cork. Delay in giving gift and use meant it was out of returns window on Amazon so now need to get in touch with the makers. Very disappointed as brand is usually associated with good quality and longevity. Not in this instance.

Brought this as a replacement, as I broke my old one, which I've had for several years and couldn't be without it. Best and easiest bottle opener I've ever had, makes opening wine bottles effortless, without having to use strength and force pulling, so suitable for anyone to use.
