These include 4 x-squared tiles, 8 x rectangles and 20 unit squares. I did not realize they didn't include y rectangles nor xy rectangles. The fact that they are dual colored for positive/negative is nice but I think you need more of them, even for a single student.

The description says "includes enough sets for 30 students" - But it doesn't. Not unless each student has one tile each.

They are tiny! Product dimensions in description do not match the item! I paid £30 for these and they are currently priced at £50 inc postage!

I purchased these for my son to use at home. I gifted his teacher a set for her class. This reinforces what she teaches at school and allows him to grasp concepts quickly

I really like these as an algebra teaching and learning manipulative. I really recommend the algebra tiles along with a book to provide lessons and information on how to use these. I recommend "Working with Algebra Tiles, Grades 6-12" (Paperback - 2006) by Don Balka and Laurie Boswell.I only have the complaint that there are not as many pieces in the kit as I would think the $9 price tag for plastic squares would elude to. There are four large "x^2" squares, 8 long "1x" or "xy" rectangles, and 16 small "1" or "y^2" squares. I would have liked to see double the amount for each of the three-sized pieces offered, though probably more realistically at a price around $12. It just seems that a single student set should require enough of each of the three sized pieces to solve most of the algebra 1 problems posed to students. Since the "zero principle" requires enough of each piece to have the value in positive and negative for solving algebraic equations, more than what's offered is needed for solving the problems my students are using these for.

These tiles are great. I love that one side is red, so negatives can be consistently red. These are the perfect size for my middle schoolers to learn to solve equations. I don't think these would be good for younger kids as they are somewhat small and may not be super durable, but I don't know why you'd want to use them for younger students anyway.

Useful with workbook. Like the different colors and sizes. The quantity is useful (set of 32). Will recommend to others.

Perfect condition. As described. Great kit for teaching negative numbers for those just learning. Very glad to have it in class.

The quality of the plasitc was good but some of the students complained that the size was difficult to use.
