This Learning Resources box with top handle opens up to quite a few learning activities perfect for upcoming firsties. It's actually been used by preschooler getting excited for Kinder so found most activities are appropriate and the one that was a bit difficult will be set aside for the school year or next summer. There are card sets to do a scavenger hunt, count, or do some activities. There's a little clock activity with spiner. Then the fake money to be used for identifying, counting (& later management). But mostly been incorporated into pretend play. There's also a number chart up to 120, which can be used for counting, adding, substracting, and even counting by 5's, 10's and so on. This little kit is so well done! It comes with a variety of learning tools, including a workbook/journal, activity cards, game pieces, a clock face, play money, dice, and other items to help make learning fun. The instructions (which are for the adults) provide a variety of suggested activities that read almost like lesson plans. But the activities are all hands-on and fun! For example, the outdoor scavenger hunt has kids look for certain shapes in common items you may find in your neighborhood. What kid doesn't like a good scavenger hunt? There is also a good mix between reading, writing, and math-related activities. The materials themselves are high quality; for example, the workbook and cards are made with thick, laminated card stock and seem as though they can take a good workout. Also, the instructions and materials are in both English and Spanish, por si a caso usted prefiere hacer las actividades en espanol (in case you prefer to do the activities in Spanish).I am looking forward to doing the activities in this kit with my grandson, who is transitioning to first grade in the fall. Recommended!

I was provided this learning set as part of the Amazon Vine program in exchange for my honest review. The box says the set is designed to be a bridge between K and 1st grade. It provides quite a bit of learning tools and activity suggestions. I used this kit with my recently completed K child. Many of the activities were very appropriate for his skill level (ex. sight words, patterns, counting). The money and time was a little above his skill level but at this age there is a large range of abilities to accommodate and we will save these for next year. Overall, this is a nice little set. Important to note, there is a small dry erase book included but no dry erase marker so you will need to get one.

I tutor all ages, and I find it's best to use learning resources like this bundle instead of worksheets and workbooks when working with kids 5 and under. It's a great little bundle at a decent price.What I didn't expect to be a hit is the fake money included in the kit. Each child wanted to "make it rain" and I had to finally look up the expression to understand why they each say this before fanning the fake dollars and dropping them. I don't mind the small mess, as long as the kids are on board with learning how to count money.This kit also comes with a little clock with movable hands and a dry-erase area to write the time. I write the time, and the kids adjust the clock's arms. This activity fascinates them.Along with dozens of other learning items, the colorful counting markers are a big plus. We use the markers for various math games, and for skip-counting.I think this is a great kit for very young learners, as it made teaching money-counting and time-telling much easier than other methods I have tried. The kids love it, and they especially like the fake money as it looks and feels very much like the real deal. Make it rain!

I got this activity set to introduce to my 4 year old and was good to build her colors, sorting, and counting. She enjoyed it and I can’t wait until she’s able to fully use the activity set as she gets older. Good value and great educational supplement to what she’s currently learning in pre-k.
