There's nothing wrong with it for the price, I didn't have any issues with the hardware as other reviews mentioned, I would say just don't over tighten.The sling itself is fine, although don't expect full grain leather, it's bonded, but finished well enough. Think of a cheap "genuine leather" belt from Walmart and that will be close. As far as weather or not it's Buffalo, given where it's made it made be water Buffalo, but I have no way of knowing. There's no "antiquing" on mine, it's a uniform color with no distressing or anything. If you were to bend the sling inward instead of outward, the thin leather strip on top would wrinkle, so consider that if you want to use it on a rifle and wrap your fore hand around it, if that matters to you. For the price it's perfectly fine and should hold most firearms well. Three stars from me.

Installed on Henry 45-70. Nice looking, cut leather edges but it does have stitching that looks good. Gives a great adjustment that makes it easy to use as brace for offhand shooting. Will definitely improve stability. I did wipe it with leather oil to darken it down to match my walnut stock. Easy to carry, use and the price can't be beat.

Bought this sling for my Marlin Model 60. The leather is nice and seems high quality. However, the screws that come with it are not the best. I snapped one off trying to snug it down. Luckily they must have heard of this problem before and included an extra one. You should be ok if you don't tighten it down as tight as you would like. Other than that I really like the sling and think it should do just fine for the role I have it in. Four stars.

Stitching looks good and the leather is strong. Works well with 1" swivels. I was able to install it in a few minutes.

This is a great rifle sling! Quality leather. I wanted the color a little darker so I applied some olive oil to it and it darkened up prefectly!The stitching is superb.I put it on my Winchester model 70, pre-64, 30.06 and it looks amazing.Excellent sling at a very good price.No need to look any further. Buy it.
