My husband needed an upgraded leatherman and it exceeded his expectations! He's military and pratically "eats" leathermans😅 Very sturdy and up to code with his uniform!! Bigger than previous ones but not heavy/cumbersome. Hoping he can utilize this one longer! Will definitely buy from this company again!

Prefacing this by saying I use this in a chemical plant, so it is often exposed to concentrated acids, bases, and salts. We clean after each use and at end of day. This tool is great, I think for basic use it would last a long time. The lock on the sliding pliers is not sturdy, after a few uses it often becomes locked when not expected, and the tool's one-handedness is lost.Have bought this for myself and some of my team in my plant, we have bought 15 of them over the course of 2 years. I've gone through 3 myself. The materials I wish would be better suited for harsher environments, the design of the tool itself is great, but I destroy these way too fast. I have owned Leatherman tools since I was in primary school almost 40 years ago, maybe some of the first from Cabela's, many many are still around, some having gone to Afghanistan and back. But for chemical environment, this tool is not the one. If it were same design, but made of something better, say Titanium, I would pay a premium for this and outfit my team with these. We tried a few others of the Leatherman, in SS, but the stainless also does not hold up to the salts and bases. In our plant, items of Titanium last through all these exposures.I see many drivers that deliver bulk chemicals to our plant also carrying various Leatherman tools, this is testament to the brand and quality. But their tools as well are deteriorated and I see them falling apart quickly like ours do. There may be a large market segment for this kind of tool in a better material. The tool selection on this tool is well thought out. I use almost all the tools, and rarely have need for something not on the tool. Aside from the lock on the plier not being very sturdy, the rest of the tool really is one-handed, and we enjoy this functionality. If you like the paint scheme, I can say even with the abuse we put this through, the paint holds. I have a box of ones we retired, and all have broken blades, tools, or the rivet holding the whole thing together is popped, but in every one, the paint is intact. Some examples from my desk drawer included in photo. Also, it may be useful to have the blade (the main knife tool) to have a clearly different thumbhandle shape or some other tactile device, so when drawing the tool, it is always clear before opening that the blade is the selected item and not the one on the reverse side. The current design has them nearly the same shape and size.

I bought these as a replacement for my 28 yr old original PST. As I felt the need to retire them from EDC status. Overall I like them very much. The tools are easy to use one handed and the blades are very sharp. It took some looking but did find the 8-32 cleaning rod adapter hole on the handle opposite of the plier lock. The grip is very comfortable under normal use. If your looking for a one handed tool this should be it. My only complaint is the plier locking mechanism which tends to come unlocked on its own and the pliers will slide out if using and open ended carrying sheath. (Which i do, I prefer the kydex offered on Amazon. I'll review that separately. ) but I've been carrying a leatherman tool of one type or another for 28 yrs and use them daily. You just can't beat them and this tool is no different.

This was my first multi tool that didn't come from Wal-Mart for 15 bucks. Ok this thing is way to kool!! Its size it large but feels just right in the hand. Everything is nice and stiff holds really well I didn't to much care for the screw lock so I took mine out no problem. The pliers them self wen opened they are butter baby!!! The large size comes in hand right here the handle is long so u get much more levridge on everything. Haven't had it long but looks kool works 100% so far! Will up date if this thing gets better or worse either way.

Top notch product - solidly built, heafty feel and very fast deployment of tools. I was a bit reluctant because of early reviews claiming poor finish and metal quality (420HC). The knives are now 154CM. My unit was flawless out of the box. The knife isn't impressive in size, but it's razor sharp (Nice that they're are two knives). Also the pouch - I got tan molle and it is definitely at spec.As with any radically different product, there are going to be issues with early runs as the work out and optimize manufacturing flows and I think the negative reviews reflect that. I might be wrong, but they aren't the case with my new Leatherman.

Excellent replacement for my lost "Leatherman Pocket Survival Tool". After carrying my Pocket Survival Tool (PST) around nearly everywhere I went for over 10 years, I lost it. So I searched for a replacement, since the PST is no longer made. This OHT doesn't have exactly the same tools on it, but it is pretty similar. The pliers are much better on the OHT than the PST. The OHT has all the tools that I want to carry with me everywhere. I splurged an extra 10 bucks to get the brown/tan model instead of the black or silver model. I'm not sure why, since I tend to be fairly utilitarian with my tool purchases (it must work, it doesn't need to look pretty while doing it). But I like it, no buyer's remorse here. If you really need to operate this tool with one hand, you should probably try one out in a brick and mortar store first. I can open most of the tools with one hand, but as far as I can figure out, closing them up again is a two-handed operation since the tools lock into place when fully extended. I'm glad that they lock in place, that makes the tool safer to use. But because of an injury, my right hand (formerly my dominant hand) has lost some strength and coordination, so true one-handed operation would be a bonus. Maybe I just need to practice more. Anyway, I am extremely happy with the purchase. It came very quickly, had sensible packaging, and an excellent price.
