These are battery operated and meant to replace flammable roads flares. They come in a nice box, and are very bright and functional. I will probably buy another set for my other car.

Innovative assembly. Works well as a vehicle safety device. Quick to assemble. Not completely sure how far away someone can see these lite reflectors? Easy to store in vehicle. Price is good. Ordering 2 more at this point.

These are well designed for visibility, with a combination of reflective bands and a bright flashing (or steady, if you prefer) red light. The white flashlight function is weak--my iPhone's flashlight is brighter--but that's not why I bought these.One suggestion. These came with six cheap alkaline AAA batteries (three apiece), but considering these are likely to be tucked away in the trunk and forgotten about for years until an emergency arises, I suggest using non-rechargeable lithium batteries instead. Energizer "Ultimate Lithium" AAAs, for example, have a twenty-year shelf life, and they won't leak and corrode your devices the way alkalines can do. Using lithium batteries guarantees that these strobes will be ready when you need them.

My husband loved these! He is going to keep them in his pickup he uses for plowing and his snowmobile!! They are very bright and easy to use.
