How to Install the LED License Plate Lights?
STEP 1: Unplug OEM license plate light with original socket
Disconnect the electrical connector, push in on the tab of connector and pull out on the connector.
STEP 2: Remove the OEM license plate light
Squeeze the two tabs in and push the whole OEM license plate light housing out. You might need to thumbnail or hand it and lift up a little bit on the housing from license plate side.
STEP 3: Install new LED license plate light onto the vehicle
Align and insert the new light, then grab the backing of the light from the other side. Back to the license plate light side, push that tab in with a small screwdriver, until you hear it snap right in, which mean it is it's in place.
STEP 4: Connect the new license plate light with original socket
Connect the new light with electrical connector, finally turn on the light to test whether it works.

The stock license plate bulbs in my 2015 Toyota Camry Hybrid burned out, so I was originally going to replace them with halogen bulbs. But the halogen bulbs have always been a bit dim and a little outdated (since most new cars nowadays have LED bulbs for many of the lighting fixtures). I wasn't sure how easy these would be to install, but I have to say I was quite surprised -- from start to finish, the installation took me about 15 minutes. You'll have to remove a few of the push-in retention screws for the trunk fabric lining to access the wiring harness for the license plate lights (just under the fabric lining), but that only took a few minutes to accomplish. The new bulb assembly clicked right into place on the door frame, and the wiring harness was easy to connect. The lighting is nice and bright now and has a more modern look. Awesome!

These are a great replacement for stock lights. The base is the same as stock. They were a little difficult to install but that is due to the design of the car not the lights

they look good on my car rear plate. but some of the led dots lights are out already.

These are ok LED lights but the housing needs a little modification before they will work on a 2012 Camry. The electrical connection has an issue where the locking clip on the terminal will not go into the light housing. There are some photos that others have posted here that show the issue. You will need to trim away some of the plastic to allow the terminal to slide into the socket.

It works! Installation was NOT easy, but was at least DIY for a guy like me. I had to shove them into the cutouts where the fixtures would clip in, and it took a fair amount of work. It is compatible with a 2012 Camry SE. Hopefully it doesn’t burn out quickly.
