I really like this gingerbread house, but to get it to this point required some 'DIY-ing'. The body of the ceramic house and lights are great, it was the detailing/painting that was the issue... it just looked sloppy. I ended up painting the entire house gray to create a fresh base, and repaining with craft store acrylic paint. It looks awesome and was a fun project, and I'll now be able to use it for years to come.

First of all, if you have a glitter phobia this item is not for you and you should keep shopping. We loved this as soon as it came out of the box but then we put batteries in it and the cute factor went even higher. The glitter in the snow catches the light and there's a warm glow about it. And THEN my daughter found the musical function. It plays several popular Christmas songs on a loop, but you can also turn the lights on without the music. Immediately my daughter wanted to use it as a night light and keep it in her room. This instantly became one of our favorite decorations.

Cute with a nice tune but not worth the price. Never would have paid that much if I had seen it in person first hand.Update, seller reached out and refunded a portion of the price. Great customer service!
