I'm very pleasantly surprised as how well this trim fits and how easy it was to install. There is an adhesive strip that seems to be holding them on securely. It's virtually identical to the original piece. I had lost the trim and it looked terrible with just the residue being visible. Thanks to this trim kit, it now looks as good as new. Very impressed!

This replacement Mini Cooper moulding is quick to replace. The moulding is held in position with emblem tape, so just pull the old one off. It will break into pieces as it is sun baked. Clean the glass as that is what the new moulding will bond to. I found I needed a combination of citrus based solvent and alcohol to clean the residue off after pealing the old tape off. Then be sure it is dry and peal the cover off the new tape, line up and stick the moulding into position. Fits right on just like the original!

This is an awesome option to finally replace your sun beaten cracked/faded trim on your Mini Cooper S/Mini Clubman S !!This well made piece fits exactly as the original factory part that came on your car. Installation requires the removal of the original part which is glued down to the glass with double faced tape. Use a plastic scraper or trim tool to pull the old trim off so as to not damage your glass!Remove the old remaining adhesive using Isopropyl Alcohol. Cleaning the installation area again using Isopropyl Alcohol to ensure the new trims adhesive gets a perfect bond.Remove the thin plastic backing tape and press trim into place. Hold for 1 minute. Avoid water or moisture and keep area dry for 24 hours to allow adhesive to full bond. This trim does an amazing job replacing the original part- and doing it at a substantial savings when compared to dealership pricing.

Over the past few years, the rubber portion of my Mini Clubman’s B pillar trim had cracking and it was breaking off. This contributed to wind noise while driving. I wasn’t sure how to fix it. I didn’t know how the trim was attached and I was concerned I’d have to remove large sections of the door trim to fix the problem. Then I stumbled on this item. It was my perfect solution. There were no instructions provided with the trim piece. Looking at the new piece I could see it was using double sided tape to keep it in place. So, to remove the old one, I used some WD40 to help loosen the old tape. I ended up breaking the old plastic trim off then used a utility knife ant WD40 to remove the old tape. I cleaned up the glass with glass cleaner and isopropyl alcohol to get a nice clean glass surface. I removed the protective covers on this new trim piece and carefully positioned and pressed it in place. Done!Looks like the OEM trim.
