So easy and convenient! I often forget about cooking something for supper because I get very preoccupied with about a hundred other things that I would rather do than make a meal. But with this little gadget, I can make a nutritious little meal lickity split. Easy to use, easy to clean. I bought this because I have the Lekue bread maker, which is also terrific. These clever people!

Bought this over 3 yrs ago. I use it all the time to cook eggs. Capacity for 2 eggs plus half cup of veggies.I like it because cooks eggs quickly with a lot less to clean. Strongly recommend you pregrease the lid and top of base with just a few drops of oil to make cleaning easier. Silicone is smell and stain proof. Highly recommend. No negative comments on this based on my experience.

I love this product. I use about a tbls of fat free half and half, salt, pepper, herbs, a drop of mustard, grated cheese (a pinch... about a heping table spoon) then crack the egg ontop of that, pierce the yolk with the tip of a kitchen knife for good measure and mirowave for one minute! I do this almost every day! And I eat it out of the mold! It cleans up so easily! No mess and soooo yummy and fast! Could not recomend this more!

Takes longer to poach an egg and additions - like 10 minutes instead of 4 but is an interesting and fun thing for breakfast

I love shirred eggs. I don't love baking them in the oven because of the time it takes. When I did them in the microwave, the plastic wrap sometimes melted, and the explosions were messy.I use 80% power with this with great results. There's more than enough room for an extra large egg with sour cream and a little butter, and the cooked eggs pop right out. The resulting square shaped egg is quirky, cute, and easy to manage. This cleans up quite easily. I love the Lékué silicone cookware, and this hasn't disappointed me.My sister thought I was nuts when she saw this, and told me that there was no reason not to take the time and trouble to cook shired eggs the traditional way. The next day, I got up, smeared a drop of olive oil into this, cracked an egg in, added a dollop of Greek yogurt, stuck it in the microwave, and sat down to breakfast a minute later. We were staying in a cottage with a kitchenette with a small sink, microwave, and mini-fridge. That was the last I heard about useless kitchen gadgets.

I read the other reviews and was a little nervous but after my first try reading the directions I came up with a perfect medium cooked egg. For this it is key to put it on the outside of the microwave turntable and adjust as necessary with the timing. It still cooks after the microwaving is done so there is a little patience involved. I give the Lekue products up to a minute or so to steam after microwaving. I take a look and it might need 15 to 30 more seconds. I have a 760 watt microwave so I need a bit more time than usual since the rating is for 800 watts in the instructions. In my case I give it 30 more seconds. Water in food as well as altitude matters so it is not exact. It takes a little understanding of how cooking in regular mediums work to get the Ovo to perform optimal. Less is more. Being experienced with conventional cookware myself you will need a little oil to keep the food from sticking. Silicone or not that is just the way it is. If you do not have a brush to use a napkin works fine to make sure all surfaces are coated. I shook a little salt on the oiled Ovo before cracking an actual egg and not the carton stuff. I put a little cheese in as well and then microwaved it for 50 seconds. I waited and as I expected it needs a little more time so I went 15 seconds at a time repeating the process. I had something that I am very satisfied with and can now repeat without the initial test time after having a little patience in the beginning.

I love this for a quick filling breakfast using the microwave. I opted for the cylinder shape and it fits perfectly on an English muffin. However I never put it in the microwave with the lid fully down. That seems to aid in the egg exploding in the microwave. Instead I just gently lay the lid on the mold so that it allows some venting.

The directions, although in a panoply of languages, did not seem to apply to my (more powerful) microwave. I set the time at 30 seconds, per the directions, but my first egg blew the top off the Ovo mold and splattered the inside of the oven. I then recalled that an older poacher had directed me to pierce the yolk, and the combination of that, plus reducing the time to 20 seconds and adding 5 seconds at a time after that, as needed, gave me a lovely soft-cooked egg. So...the product does work, but you may have to fiddle with the timing, and use a fork to pierce the yolk.

I agree with the other reviewer that one has to keep a close eye on this product when cooking eggs in the microwave. While I have refined the process of making my morning eggs, I have to stop the microwave about every 15 seconds (and remove the lid to let the steam out). This is to make sure that the lid doesn't pop off. If I don't stop it periodically, there is egg all over the microwave. In addition, I find that even with a little oil, the egg still sticks to the silicone. My recommendation is to pass on this product. It's an interesting idea, but does not work well.

I can not use in the microwave. The reason I bought it. My thought was to use in the morning to quickly cook an egg before running out the door. The only way I have found for this thing to work is to stop the microwave every 10-15 seconds and perforate the egg with a fork to allow steam to escape. I got sick of the eggs blowing up and splattering all over the inside. Even running the microwave at less than 50% causes EXPLOSIONS... Uggghhhhh. The directions give no help or sign that this might happen.I will be going back to the stove and skillet.
