Perfect for what I needed to trim small branches. Extremely sharp and safe storage.

TL;DR version: Good light duty saw for the price. Don't let the initial flimsy feeling throw you. Also, if you work in landscaping or another job where this tool will be used for hours a day, stop reading and go find a higher quality tool.First impression was that it was sort of flimsy, but just a couple of uses made me change my mind. Here's why.I unfolded the blade, which took a couple of seconds, but only a couple of seconds to figure out. The blade is held onto the handle with a screw and nut (which maybe means the blade is replaceable?). The blade seemed thin and there was a lot of play in it, i.e. I could bend and jiggle the blade around a bit. I checked the tightness of the screw holding the blade on and found it secure.I set out to do some cutting, starting with a 1 inch diameter branch. Cutting was pretty easy. I moved on to some smaller branches and it only took a couple of strokes of the saw to cut through them. Getting the cut started is a little challenging, but once started, cutting is fast. I noticed a couple of teeth got slightly bent. But I'm going to compare this to my pruning bow saw. It's easy to bend teeth on that saw too. That blade is also thin and flexible. This folding saw is easier and more convenient to use than my bow saw.

I received this in later October of 2022, just in time to do some pre-winter tree and bush trimming and to cut up a few logs for the fire pit. When I first opened this from its plastic bag, my initial reaction was that it felt lighter than I expected. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, but that was to be determined by using it. After disengaging the safety lock (which works similarly to a knife), I was able to open the saw from its handle. Opening it up it feels a bit wobbly and I actually expected it to be unstable when cutting because of this. It has a bit of side-to-side movement. The teeth on this thing are really sharp and they alternate the blade side on each tooth which does help in faster cutting. With the apparent "looseness" of the blade, I expected difficulty in cutting. I was wrong. This thing cut efficiently and with no side-to-side give that I expected. I promptly cut some low-handing branches from a tree that were 1-2 inches thick. They cut FAST, much faster than I expected. This thing really does a number on some wood! Next I went into a really thick bush I have to cut out some thick branches from that (similar 1-2 inch diameter) with the same result. Quick and efficient cuts.I decided to try it out against some firewood that I have to cut some longer pieces to half-length for burning in my fire pit this fall. It was a bit more work since the pieces are roughly 4 inches thick and this is a manual saw, but not anything too extreme. It certainly makes faster work of it than a mortar saw would and the ergonomic handle makes it easy to quickly switch between hands when one arm gets tired.I don't actually have any cons for this saw right now but I have some more cutting to do so if I encounter any negatives I will update this review. I do plan to take this camping to cut some firewood because it's compact and (apparently) efficient so I'm going to give it a go! The wobbliness of the blade doesn't seem to have any impact on its ability to efficiently cut so I can't mark that as a con either. Overall, this thing seems really good so far after one day's worth of cuts. Time will tell how it holds up to some more cutting!

I just got it today and cut three sections off an old branch, they were between three and four inch diameter, so not trivial, not something you would use loppers on, even good loppers. It did fine. Its sharp with aggressive teeth and had no problem with blade binding. It is however a thin blade. sort of like handsaw or bow saw. Resulting thin kerf means faster progress. But also means that I can see it getting bent if bit careless. But thats also price of light weight. Well unless you can find a $20 functional light saber. By way those light sabers might be great way to cut firewood.... LOL Hope to see them on market soon.So if you just need way to occasionally cut upto four inch diameter branch, this might be just the thing. No gasoline, no batteries. Just armstrong power. Handy for camping to cut up dead branches for kindling or firewood. Lot faster and safer than hatchet for such. I do say occasional use. Saws dont stay sharp forever, same as any cutting tool. This does not look easy to sharpen, but then like most stuff anymore they dont intend you to sharpen it, just toss and buy another. Too bad for the planet, but then to be honest most consumers anymore cant be bothered with maintenance, toss it and buy another. Even something much easier to sharpen like a kitchen knife.
