I wanted these wooden trains to work for my gradation cap idea so bad. However, they were bigger and heavier than expected.I wanted to keep for another project but did return.Very cute!

This was an activity for a 4yo’s birthday party. Even the teenagers got in on it.I spray primed them, which took a lot of taping, but it made the colors pop and we could use a variety of markers (Sharpie, AD, and paint pens). I figured markers would bleed on the raw wood and paint would take too long to dry.I’d give five stars if the wheels were removable. Taping them took forever and it was hard to get color behind them on the base. Otherwise quite pleased!

This train set is fantastic! The trains themselves are good quality, and the standard size for wooden train tracks, compatible with brio. Good magnets, sturdy constructions and smooth wood. The kids were thrilled with this craft, it was a huge hit! Highly recommend!

This set comes very plain, as the images indicate. Nothing fancy whatsoever, but that's the idea. Each car is in effect a canvass that invites kids (and perhaps adults as well - wink) an opportunity to be creative whether with paint, colored pens/pencils, or just about anything else so long as it doesn't gum up the wheels or soil play surfaces. At this price, however, the novelty of the set gets over-shadowed by the cost. To me, the quality and quantity can't compensate. Accordingly, three stars.
