I did not use the sleeve on top of the bridge and it made it sounds much better.Better than spend $10 just for an E-string. I went and bought 2 strings for the total under $8. And the shipping is about $4.

so good for me too....excellent quality for cheap price, cheap enough to change it as often as you need to (before it breaks...)
