Starting to be the backseater more, and wanted some cheap rod socks to keep the rods from tangling and these works for both my spinning and casting rods. A couple of the guides from the spinning rods did go through and they're made for 7' rods and longer.

Theses covers do not fit the 7 foot pools I have. They will not go around the biggest eye let with out stretching the material. Nice product, works great on my 6 foot pools but definitely not for the 7 foot pools.

So i bought some spinning rod sleeves at wally world that are SUPPOSED to fit spinning rods 7' long. But they didn't. In fact they wouldn't even fit a 6'6" spinning rod. They a 6 footer tbough.Ordered some others that were SUPPOSED to fit a 7' spinning rod. They didn't.Ordered these aftermaking sure they were longer than the others and sure enough, these fit my 7' spinning rods perfectly. Except on one rod that has an extra large eye but no rod sock ever fit overthat one without some finagling.

I bought these to finally untangle the mess that is my closet with rods getting caught on each other every time I tried to move them around. Now let me state that yes, I paid for these myself, they were not free for this review.It put them on a 7' Berkley Lighting Stick Light spinning rod, no issues clearing the guides at all. I also put these on my 7' Ugly Stik Elite rods, both casting and spinning (M and MH), and while I had to be just a little careful on the bottom guide of the spinning rods to get the bottom of the sleeve with the elastic around the guide, once done, they slid on with no problem at all. And it wasn't a tight fit, so this just isn't a problem for these rods.One thing I did maybe a little different for those with stuck hooks, etc., I bought lure wraps for all the rods that a lure tied on, then loosely rolled the wrap around the rod so the sleeve would fit over it. Zero issues with clearance, and nothing got stuck. Plus the wrap is basically all the way down to the reel.One bit of bad news though for those of you with this thought... For testing purposes, I tried sliding one over one of my 7'6" TFO inshore Pro spinning rods, and while after some playing with it, It did slide over the bottom guide, it was a tight enough fit that ripping the sleeve or possibly damaging the rod might have been a possibility, so make sure you do some measuring of your guide and rod length before trying it on the bigger rods like this.Long term durability remains to be seen, but I'm very pleased with the results.

I transport my fly rods already strung up in my car to the river and they continually tangle. I don’t need to worry about that happening anymore. Plus they are protected from knicks and scratches. Love this item!
