About this item

  • These overlays were created to cover and protect the knees during HEMA training.
  • This knee shell can be used by both women and men, regardless of the intensity of HEMA training. With net weight of 0.5 lb, they are more light and comfortable with wearing.
  • They are made of black, durable plastic. From the outside, they are specially contoured to the shape of the knees. They have special elastic bands and Velcro fasteners to attach to selected trousers around the calf. They are fastened with Velcro around the knees.
  • The material for the Shell knee caps is approximately 3 mm thick. Velcro straps are adjustable, so they can be perfectly adapted to your needs. One size design to fit most adult people with normal height and weight.
  • A pair of Knee Pads are included in the package. Note: It is not used for contact sports. If you want to practice contact martial arts, please use personal protective equipment.

These are surprisingly good, full coverage for the knee from impacts and good sturdy Velcro straps. Connects to the shin guards well. Would be five stars if there was any padding inside for comfort. You cannot kneel down in these unless you add padding to the inner surface. I used some closed cell foam and superglue to pad the interior surface.

These knee guards are pretty decent, but their one drawback is that they have absolutely no padding on the interior -- they're just plastic plates. This doesn't have much of an impact on their protectiveness, in my experience of using them for about a year and a half, but it does mean that it is very uncomfortable to kneel in them. It's not a huge deal, but because of that, they aren't perfect.For some reason, while the velcro on the leonark shin guards is trash, the velcro for these knee guards seems to be much better. I don't know why that would be, but there you are.Overall, pretty reasonable quality knee guards for the price.

These are great and cheap way to get going in HEMA. They can either just be put on the padded jacket or attach to the arm guard with the built in velcro

These are really bad. First time wearing them and they broke more ways then one. Dont expext these to last after first use

Used during two training days so far. I can hear elbow hits, but these take all the sting out. They also look cooler than the other makers.
