I’ve tried a fair share of shapewear, and while the Leonisa Firm Compression Butt Lifter Shaper Shorts have some solid pros, they also have a few drawbacks that make them fall short of expectations—especially for the price.Pros:✔ Prevents Clothes from Riding Up: The fabric keeps dresses and skirts from sticking, which is a huge plus.✔ Breathable Material: Unlike some shapewear that feels suffocating, these allow airflow and keep you cooler.✔ Easy to Put On (Compared to Others): I didn’t have to wrestle with these as much as other brands I’ve tried.✔ Smooths Everything Out: These did a great job of eliminating lumps in the thighs, lower belly, and butt.✔ Legs Stay in Place: No annoying rolling up, which is a relief.Cons:❌ Runs Small: I typically wear a large in a well-known brand, but I ordered an XL in these, and even then, I feel like I could size up to an XXL for more comfort. I’ve noticed this brand tends to run 1–2 sizes smaller than expected.❌ Not High-Waisted Enough: They sit around my belly button, but I prefer shapewear that reaches just under the bra. The lower cut creates a muffin top between the shorts and the bra, which defeats the purpose.❌ No Convenient Bathroom Access: There’s no pee hole, meaning every trip to the restroom turns into a full-on struggle to pull them back up. Not ideal in a public bathroom!❌ Not a Wow-Worthy Butt Lift: While these are labeled as butt-lifting, I didn’t notice much of an effect. If anything, the compression flattened more than lifted.❌ Overpriced: At almost $60, I expected a game-changer, but I own a $25 pair that smooths just as well while also fixing all the cons above.Final Thoughts:If you’re looking for thigh, lower belly, and butt smoothing, these will do the job. But for the price, they don’t stand out enough for me to recommend them. The sizing is tricky, the rise is too low for true shaping, and the lack of a bathroom-friendly design is a deal-breaker.Would I buy these? Not at full price, and not at half price unless I was desperate in a pinch. These are more of a $13.99 plus tax value in my personal opinion. 3 stars is pushing it but I felt 2 was not quite fair. I stand at 2.5 stars but I can’t pick that option.

I’ve been wearing “Leonisa Seamless Shapewear High-Waisted Butt Lifting Capri or Shaper Shorts” for years, and I love them. So, I thought I would try this other product from them. I was not impressed. The bands that go right under the cheeks are not tight enough to lift. And, the area that covers your booty is too tight, flattening the rear. I’ll be returning these and sticking with their seamless “woven” butt lifters.

I really like this one. I have others of this line as well. This one holds in the stomach well plus it gives you butt a nice lift. The fabric on the butt is thinner, which it should be so it doesn't flatten. It's not as fragile as everyone says. Use common sense and the pads of your fingers rather than nails and it will be just fine.
