I purchased this primarily for a Colorado River rafting trip. It is well-made, has good venting zippers, and is great at keeping the water off and keeping me dry thru the big splashes. I like the roll-away hood, and especially like that it has a full front zipper (which most paddle jackets do not).

I really like a zip up paddle jacket, for ease of getting into/out of. Plus one can vent much easier with it unzipped. Most paddle jacket makers no longer offer the zipper, and that's too bad. If your running whitewater in a kayak, then look at a different design, but if you are a canoer or paddling milder water in a kayak, then give this one a look. Good features ! . If I could change 1 thing, I wish the material was a little heavier.
