easy to install but you must drill your own holes for the mounting screws. Have had some installed for over 6 months and they are still working. Much more cost effective than the original emergency lighting that they are replacing & those are about 5 years old. these look very similar to the ones being replaced other than the color & internally they are different.

I like the lights but the mounting system or should I say lack of a good mounting system is a major flaw.I was able to mount four of them but it took way more time because the back plate of the actual light is the mounting plate for the light itself. I needed to notch out the plastic to get the wires out from behind the unit.

I have bought dozens of these lights over the last 3 years and installed them in seveal businesses, I have not had a failure, and they are brighter than the old lights in evry case, also they are LED and use a small battery that is easy to replace, all in all an excellent emergency light.

I this to replace an older emergency lighting unit. The installation is easy, particularly since my old unit was mounted on a steel electrical box. The hardest part of the installation process was removing my heavy bsolete units. The batteries on these seem very easy to replace. I hope and suspect that these will last 20 years or more.

Our local utility likes to cut the power quite often. After having to grope my way out of a pitch black basement I set up a couple of these lights. Rather than hard-wire them I used a good line cord and strain relief to wire them into a regular wall outlet. Aiming the lamps is rather limited especially if you plan to wall mount them but enough reflected light will allow you to see your way out.

Easy to install and work perfect. The 3xAA rechargeable batteries inside a battery pack charge quickly. Added 2 of these to my home because our frequency of power outages has increased and a home with no light during an outage was a safety risk with stairs to fall down etc. We will no longer be in darkness during an outage. I ended up adding lamp cord to these with a plug at the end of it wired for 120VAC with the wire nut added to the unneeded 277VAC leg. And attached these to the wall with a notched out piece of wood for the cord to attach with wire nuts to the internal black hot/white neutral wires with this plugged into an outlet below it with 6ft of cord. This made more sense vs having to route wiring on inside of wall. My profession is Industrial Automation Electronics, so no fire hazard with my alternate means of installation and cord with plug wiring with strain relief added to end to avoid wires from being pulled out of wire nuts.
