City of Chicago Requirements
The City of Chicago has specific codes regarding emergency egress signage.
- Signs must be rectangular 20-gauge sheet metal box with a glass or plastic face
- Signs must be red lettering on white
- The letters and arrows of the sign are MANDATED to be red
- All Exits Signs need to be internally illuminated with at least a 10 watt "electric lamp"

Mounting Configuration
The CHCO series combo exit sign comes with a steel mounting bracket that allows for side mount. Also includes universal knock-out patterns to mount to junction box.

The CHCO combo exit sign comes equipped with a (2) 3.6V 2500mAh NiCad battery. (Battery must be connected upon installation)
Universal Voltage Applications
The CHCO is designed with a universal transformer that is suitable for 100-300VAC installation.

This exit light began blinking after about 3 years. Replaced battery, no difference. This is the 2nd one that has gone bad in just 3 years.
