There are minor differences in fit of trays and the part number on the new one was different than the old one. I would recommend removing the old one to use that number rather than the number per model of refrigerator. Our new one does work great, though!

After our ice tray cracked and was causing a leak, we had such a hard time finding just the ice tray replacement. Most retailers only sold the entire ice part (the tray with box beneath it), not just the ice tray. We weren’t sure this one would fit but decided to give it a try before spending more on the entire part. So glad we did because we saved quite a bit, it fit and works perfectly.

Very easy to install!! My ice maker was spilling water every time it would fill up, we thought we'd have to replace the whole thing!! Not knowing what the problem was, we notice our tray had hard water build up that was causing the the ice cubes not being released when the tray would twist and dump them out and when it came time to fill up the water it would splash and overflow. Not anymore we can now enjoy all our drinks with lots of ice.

I have no idea this little thing called "tray" is what cause my ice cubes froze up in a big chunk of blob. You see, what happened is that the old tray is sort of tilted and that cause the water to spill out and into the big bin and water mixed with ice cubes, it froze up into a big chunk preventing the thing from spinning where you can actually get individual ice cubes out of the frig. Well, with the replacing of this tray, it solves the problem. This tray had a tab on the left side preventing any water from spilling if in case it does (i was glad to see it). I know with the old tray, that's where the spill come from, it's from the left side. So this tray solved that. Not just that, but it's also not tilted anymore. When i took the old tray out, i notice the two little pieces that hold the sensor wire...well one of the piece were broke off and it wasn't there. I am not sure how that broke, maybe the ice temperature it causing it to crack and break off the piece that held the wire.Anyway, now for the installation. It's a bit hard to take the tray out if you have my LG model, which is LG LSC26905TT. I had to do a little research to find out how to take it apart as i don't want to break it. As it turn out, you had the push up and right a bit the entire right side that held the tray on the right and then try to push left and spread the left side, then try to dislodge the right side of the tray first. Once the right side is off, then the left side should be off. But it does take a little strength to push it. And you don't want to use too much force as you want to cautious. Putting in the NEW tray is just the same as taking it apart, just follow the same steps.

This one does not match the original completely. The overall fit and function is the same but the cube size is different. I opted to just heat and reform my old one that was warped from leaving the use maker on with no water plumbed to the fridge

*** BEWARE *** I put my refrigerator model in the "Make sure this fits:" and it said it did fit my model. When I recieved it , it did not fit. Was nothing like my one.
