I only ever played with Bach mouthpieces, wether that was on a Besson, Yamaha or Courtois.Obviously, I wanted a 5C, but like others, received a 7C instead. Vine testers get these for a lower cost to try: a vendor not caring to even put the right part in the box is very troubling. -2 stars for not even getting the basics right.I don't like the heavy weight. I don't like the curvature on the rim: the part that touches my lips. -1 star...maybe some day I will get that 5C....

This feels like a nice mouthpiece and I enjoy playing on it, but it has 7C stamped on it and feels the same as my other 7C mouthpieces. I was excited to try a 5C, but I guess I'll have to wait for another day. That said, the weight is nice and I enjoy playing on it. I am able to project my sound more, which is nice. I teach beginning band and spend a lot of time playing with my students so they can hear what sound they should be aiming for. While it is hard to tell the difference while I play, I have asked my colleagues if they hear a difference from the other side of the bell, and they say yes, it is louder than my standard mouthpiece. This allows me to play a little louder over my groups so that they can hear me while they are also playing, which was my goal in getting this mouthpiece. Disclaimer: My first instrument is flute, I'm not an expert on the finer differences of mouthpieces since I teach beginning band. I do play all day with my students, so I have decent chops.

This trumpet mouthpiece is beautiful. Would make a perfect replacement trumpet mouthpiece. The size 5C is a perfect middle size for students. You won't find a better price for a new trumpet mouthpiece. The silver plating is gorgeous and the craftsmanship is impressive. The style adds extra weight to the body of the mouthpiece to concentrate vibration into the horn for maximum resonance. It will fit all student and professional standard trumpets. Highly recommend!

Like many of the other reviewers, I was expecting a 5C mouthpiece, but I received 7C. The box says 5C, but the mouthpiece is stamped with 7C. Disappointing.I compared this mouthpiece to an old Bach 7C that I have, and they are very similar. Visually I cannot see any difference in the cup diameter or depth, and they play very much alike as well. It does feel that this mouthpiece has a rounder rim profile, which feels softer on the lips, but makes slotting in a little less precise. It’s not necessarily a bad thing, but it’s something to be aware of if you don’t like a rounder profile. On the scale, this mouthpiece weighed in at 117.7 g. My Bach standard 7C weighs 91.2 g, so this bullet style mouthpiece does weigh close to 30% more. In theory that should give you a bit more depth to your tone, or perhaps a slightly darker tone, though it wasn’t easy for me to tell the difference while playing. As far as quality and materials go, it certainly looks like silver plating to me. I have no idea how thick the plating is, or how it will hold up over time. One might imagine that the quality of materials is lower simply due to the very low price of around $14 when I ordered it. It does look very nice out of the box, but I did notice that it gets very smudgy quickly. When I wiped it with a soft cotton cloth, it also looked like the finish was picking up micro scratches very easily. I don’t really buy mouthpieces for looks, so this doesn’t matter much to me.3/5 stars. This seems like a pretty decent mouthpiece to me. But it is discouraging that I ordered a 5C and received a 7C. It is even more discouraging that this apparently happened to many other reviewers. So I cannot recommend ordering this particular brand for that reason, even if it does appear to be a pretty good value for the price.

Great mouthpiece with a clear tone, and is a good value for the money. Would recommend for beginners or as a backup for professionals!

This trumpet mouthpiece is a good upgrade for intermediate and advanced players. The bullet-shaped cup design makes it easy to play and gives a clear, bright sound. It's silver-plated, so it looks really nice and is durable. The mouthpiece fits most C and B♭ trumpets.

After trying a bunch of different mouthpieces I've settled on a 5c, I was trying out different shapes and decided to try this one. While my ear might not be perfected enough to hear the subtle differences between the shapes, I find myself reaching for this one regularly when practicing.I had no issues with the fit or finish and it feels high quality!

Great affordable mouthpiece for beginners and those returning to trumpet alike. Attractive shape and just as sturdy as any other big name mouthpiece. Mouthpieces come in many shapes and sizes and can effect your tone -- if you are new, ask your instructor for advice.
