We made a first purchase of the silicone lubricant when we bought our amazing treadmill on Amazon over a year ago. It is a good product. We purchased the same lubricant for our son's new treadmill. I'm sure he will be very happy with its performance.

My treadmill would come to a dead stop as soon as I would step on it...once I got this lubricant for it, it has worked better than when I first got it. It came quickly and with easy to follow instructions. Definitely not a disappointing product and will buy again!

Pros:- I have the LifeSpan TR4000i and the thing is brilliant in the sense that it detects when the lubricant is low (and will tell me!); this lubricant, when applied, fixes the error and there is a noticeable improvement in the ride quality of the treadmill- it's lubricant. It's not exactly vintage wine. Get it on your fingers and you'll be able to tell it does the job when you try to wash it offCons:- I took off one star because it's annoying trying to squirt this stuff if any of it gets on the actual spring-loaded portion of the dispense; in other words, your finger will start slipping all around and things get messy- I think that I may eventually try pouring this into a spray bottle (think trigger style) to see if that works better; it may also be easier to maneuver underneath the treadmill belt

This extended the life of my treadmill for a good year. I’ve had the treadmill since 2005, and I run quite a bit, so I knew it was only a matter of time before it was done for. The belt started sticking so instead of buying a new treadmill I bought this, hoping it would make the belt smoother and save me some money in the process. Tip: Be VERY careful because if you don’t do it right and get it ON TOP of the belt by accident (it oozes out the sides), then you will be like me, trying to find something to cut through the slickness to avoid falling on your face. :) Anyways, once that was cleaned up, it took away the jerking of the belt that would happen occasionally when I run, which made me want to hold onto the handles on instinct because the feeling was so scary. My treadmill’s motor is sadly now burned out, but this stuff did give me a good year longer than I would have had. I definitely recommend if you’re having trouble with the belt jerking or “sticking” when you run/walk. Worth the try since a new treadmill is so expensive.

Finally, they sell a spray bottle lubricant for a treadmill in Canada! This product works great for lubrication and you can use it without backing off the belt tension. The only thing that would make it much easier is a squeeze trigger to spray. My finger got tired quickly and the angle I needed to use seemed difficult. I think a squeeze trigger would fix both of those problems. Hint, hint, producers!100% silicone is best for most treadmills. Check your manual.

This is a nice cheap solution to helping with your treadmill belt. Some reviews say the bottle is junk but I honestly didn't find it hard to use.You lift your belt up a little, spray it under, and move the belt and do it again. You don't need to try and stick your arm under or spread it out like other reviewers commented. If you read the instructions on the bottle, it says after you are done to walk slow on your treadmill for a few minutes and it will spread itself out. Which I did, and it did. After I sprayed the solution 10-12 sprays on each side every 1/3 of my belt I could see it had the edges all covered. I walked on the treadmill at speed 1 for like 2 or 3 minutes and then I felt under and sure enough it spread all the way into the center. So you don't need to be sticking your arm under there trying to force it into the center. Also according to the box if you follow the instructions each application will use about 1oz. It is a 4oz bottle. So you should get 4 applications out of each bottle. You are supposed to reapply every 40 hours of use. So for me, I use my treadmill 30 minutes a day, 5 days a week, so one application will last me 16 weeks (4 months). 1 bottle should then last me 1 year and 4 months (ish).

I'm not so sure that this was necessary, what I mean is did this item have to cost me $14.99? I watched youtube videos on how to lubricate a treadmill and was surprised to see on more than 1 video that they were using WD40 for the same purpose as this expensive as this oil I had purchased. I could be wrong...but I don't believe WD40 costs anywhere near 15 dollars for any size.I am going to go ahead and use this expensive silicon oil for now, but in the future I'll opt for something that costs a lot less than this "special" lubricant and cut my losses where they are right now.By the way the instructions that came with our treadmill did not even mention anything about having to spend so much for silicon spray for the machine. If I can save just 1 person from paying to much, well then this review was worth my time and effort. I guess I should have looked into this matter a little bit closer at the time of purchase. Ya live Ya learn.I am pretty sure this spray I bought deserves 5 stars in so far as it's quality, but it only gets a generous 3 stars in the value department.

Avoid unnecessary repairs!!! I have a 15 y.o. Precor 9.1 treadmill that started heating the electrical wall plug, and eventually tripping the electrical circuit breaker after a few minutes at my usual speed of 1.7. Called local Los Angeles area treadmill services for advice. Other than "you can buy a new track and/or support platform"....there was never any mention of a treadmill belt lubricant. Until after spending $400 for a service call that did nothing but make me spend money.....did I discover that there existed a treadmill belt lubricant. I hope that this saves you unnecessary repairs. This belt lubricant quickly solved the problem. I tilt the treadmill on one side and sprayed the lube under the belt, and tilt it to the other side and did the same. Instead of turning on the treadmill, I then manually pushed the belt back and forth until I could feel that the lube was evenly spread. You don't want to spray it too much just before it goes around a roller because it could start slipping. It's back to just like new... A lesson learned the expensive way......
