Causes of Door Lock Brake Motor Failure:

1. Most of the time, the Remote Control is out of Power or Broken

2. The Door Lock Actuator itself is Broken

3. The Central Control Module or the Fuse has Burnt

4. There is a problem with the Signal wire from the Door Lock, or with the Central Control box

5. Not connected to power

About Installation.

1. please make sure the new latch is the same as your old one before installation

2. Please replace the switch after the car has come to a complete stop.

3. After removing the old switch and before installing the new one, it is recommended to remove any dust or grease from the connectors and plugs.

4. If there is water splashed on the door, it may cause a short circuit into the water

DIY, save a couple hundred bucks if you have basic tools and mechanical ability. I’m sure there’s videos on you tube, but I just did it by the seat of t pants, not difficult.Old one wouldn’t work intermittently, installed this and back in business!

Installed in 15 min 3 bolts on the latch 2 plugs on the wires the plastic cover took most of the time to reinstall.

Before you order double check the compatibility some vehicles depending on manufacturers date may be different. After submitting the VIN number I got the right one. 2 different latches for the same year.
