It's a ton of fun, it's lightweight and functional it looks like it's straight out of a movie, I love the colors and it's a great size and it's bright at night. It was a fantastic value and I highly recommend 5 stars.

My son is really enjoying this light saber. When we first got it, it made some great sounds, both when the button was pushed, and when you hit something with it. My son loves all the different colors that it makes, and all of the modes (flashing, fading, etc). The plastic is good quality. The light saber fits well in his hands (he is 10 for reference). The biggest negative, and why this is receiving 3 stars, is that after only a few days of play, the sound on this stopped working. He was not overly rough with it, or anything like that, so there was no reason why it should have stopped working. If the sound does not matter to you, I would recommend this product.

this is a pretty good looking to feels solid enough for being held together with 2 set screws but i was pretty delicate with it. lights up very bright and flashes when you hit things. It makes noises that don't sound much like the sounds they make in the movies but its not overly loud and can be shut off. and for an idea of size it looks to scale on a 5-6 year old but it can still be fun for grown ups. I cant give it a good review on the fact that it stopped working in less than 10 min of playing with my son. it was on one moment and then it just stopped working while i was holding it. Didn't seem like the batteries died on how abruptly it cut off. maybe I just got a faulty one.

This was a great idea for a toy and it definitely will spark the imagination of kids who have seen Star Wars and want to play along. Read the instruction manual to get the most out of its features. However, the idea is much better than the execution. It looks and feels as if it was a pretty cheap manufacturing process, and I don't see it lasting for long. You'll have to decide if the price is worth it. If you're a Star Wars fan, I'd say yes. It's a lot of fun for as long as it lasts.

This light saber has some very neat functions, for which you need the instruction manual. Colors, blinking function and a nice size make it a great toy. It's not heavy at all. It came charged, so we could use it right away. My main concerns are:*feels cheaply made and not able to withstand kids playing rough with it*putting it together was not difficult, but a little cumbersome and needed the instructions to make sure that we did it right.*I think the price is a little high for what you get.

EDIT TO ORIGINAL REVIEW:After 3 weeks they don't seem to work anymore. After a full charge they turn on then after 2-3 hits the light goes out while the sound is still on. And we have NOT played with them that hard. VERY SAD.ORIGINAL REVIEW:They're pretty good for the price, though relatively simple. They glow, have a bunch of colors, and are sturdy (at least so far - it's been two weeks). They're sturdy enough for fighting with them with little kids, and they feel sturdy. They are small. You can see the measurements in the description, but the handles are very small too - I can't realistically hold them with two hands, but they feel great in one and are perfect for little kids. The handle is metal, but not heavy, it feels decently built. The design is simple. Combining them into a dual blade works well and is fun. They flash light and make a deflecting sound then you hit something with them. They do not make any sounds for any other action like dragging the end on a surface or swinging them through the air. The sound speaker on them is pretty quiet overall. The battery life lasts around a few hours of play before needing to charge.Overall, I think what you get for $40 is decent. I bought them thinking they were a steal, but the reality is they're probably worth about $40. It's basically a metal flashlight with different colors, a plastic tube, and a cheap speaker and sensor for if you bang it on something. Also, while I'm more critical of them, my kids who are 6 and 4 love them, especially the 4 year old.
