This blanket has a great cooling effect but is also really soft.I was surprised by how good this blanket actually is, I even ordered a 2nd so my dogs could have one each.

This cooling blanket is excellent quality and fit for purpose. The cooling side of the blanket is silky and cool; it has the effect of instantly cooling your skin, and therefore is ideal for placing over a hot, panting dog to give them some relief in the heat. The other side is soft, striped cotton. Both sides are very comfortable.The blanket is immaculately stitched, and looks contemporary and stylish. It is very easy to fold down to a compact size and store away. My dog, an elderly, very arthritic Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, struggles with the heat, but I have no doubt that this blanket will help him enormously in the summer and when traveling in the car. Very highly recommended.

I really like the idea of this; the gel-filled pads always tend to leak, so this is a good alternative. The fabric is soft and smooth, and does have a cooling effect.My cats tend to only want cuddles if a blanket is involved, so I think this is really going to be useful in summer!

When I reeived this blanket I wasn't impressed at all. This is a really small blanket and made with very thin nylon like material. But when I touched it I couldn't believe how cool it actually felt against my skin. I have a service dog and she loves to lay on a blanket while riding in the car so I thought this would be great for the hotter days. And it would be if she wasn't such a large dog. She uses it as a pillow in the car. This would be a lot better for the smaller dog.

At first I was disappointed in this cooling blanket. I have had cooling blankets for humans and they felt like a blanket, this felt like a thin piece of random cloth. The print was not as nice as I expected, and the stars folding over onto the stripes was busy. Now that it is getting warm out I realize my kittys like to lay on a box in the window of the garage and look out. The box is padded with blankets and look cute. The blankets are warm, maybe too warm in the summer months so now I will drape this cooling blanket over the box and blankets and I think they will be more comfortable. The cloth actually feels cool to the touch!

My senior chihuahua rides in the car every day with me and in her senior years she has started to become intolerant to heat. I've always used a towel for her to sit on but it holds too much heat. I needed an alternative way to both protect my car seat upholstery and keep her cool. I decided to try this cooling blanket. The fabric is indeed cool to touch on one side. And in the car, with the ac running, it stays cool. Now my senior girl lays down immediately and never whines from being uncomfortable and I don't have to freeze from keeping the ac on high for her. We're both comfortable now.

I was sceptical at first as didn't really understand the concept of a 'cooling' blanket. But I must say that this lightweight piece of cloth does have some form of cooling effect. Whether this translates into an actual drop in temperature, I don't know, but it does feel like its cooler to the touch. Our dog likes it, even if just to make as part of his bed/nest.

I have a large "human" one of these and use it all the time in the Summer, so I know they work.Haven't tried it yet with a dog but I'm hoping it will be a good alternative to the cool mats and something to put in a dog bed.A little pricey for the size of it.

My dog loves this blanket! It stays cool for a very long time after placing in the freezer for just a few minutes. I have washed it several times already and it holds up very well. I purchased another one for my sister's dog! Great purchase!
