Not snow; ice pellets and freezing rain during a late spring storm. Green is my favourite colour so I was pleased to see and receive this gazing ball. It arrived in excellent condition.

This is absolutely gorgeous! We eliminated plants, bushes, flowers and mulch due to the insects, constant maintenance and deer. We were unsure how to display them so I purchased 2 heavy 9" flower crocks to hold them. They were just the right size to hold the 12" balls. We sat the balls on the crocks and applied a heavy bead of Power Grab and smoothed it out with a fingertip. This will also keep water out even tho there's a hole in the bottom of the crock. We plan on bringing them indoors in the fall. UPDATE: We've had these for 2 years now. They still look good as new. The one thing I did do was to wax them occasionally with spray car wax. Just spray some on a damp paper towel, rub it over the ball and buff when dry. I did end up buying a gold one too. They are so pretty and really liven up a space.

We absolutely LOVE these balls. We purchased 2 green ones for our tall copper plant stands-one on each side of the front door on the porch. They are gorgeous! Every spring & fall we try planting flowers, real & fake in these planters, but between the hot sun & the birds building nests, we have never had any luck. These are a winner! We filled each pot with brown gravel, then topped with green marbles & nestled a ball in the center. The balls & marbles are shiny & show beautifully. The balls are much better than we expected. They were packaged nicely & each has a small plug to keep water out if you want to float them in a pool or pond. That would be really pretty, I think. Husband says he will polish with car wax when they become dusty from the elements. A great buy!!!

This was purchased as a replacement for a glass gazing globe that unfortunately got broken in a windstorm. Being steel, I'm sure that won't be an issue now! My only complaint is that it won't work with the stand we had for the previous one: the old globe had a post at the bottom that was held in a socket in the stand, this globe is strictly spherical, with no knob. Lily's Home does make a stand for this globe, but it's only 9" high, which is a little shorter than we'd want. However, I'm sure we'll get over this slight inconvenience!

Was initially very pleased with this product however after a few weeks a line has appeared across the sphere. Very disappointed as it ruins the appearance.
