Not snow; ice pellets and freezing rain during a late spring storm. Green is my favourite colour so I was pleased to see and receive this gazing ball. It arrived in excellent condition.

Finally! This product is very hard to find elsewhere. Stainless is stronger than glass and so much better than plastic. No seams on this highly reflective ball. Perfect for my yard.

As you can see we put it on a cement pedestal which I already had. Well we had some very high winds one night and it blew off rolled over some very rough pavement, about 150 feet away. No dents just a few minor scratches. Stainless steel, very rugged. Well couple days later we used some very sticky double face tape.

Many of these have rough joins where the 2 halves of the ball are welded and ground off. Mine has a very faint line, detectable at close range, but otherwise perfect. So far, in 3+ months in rain and snow and being knocked off its pedestal once (bird landing), it looks to be both durable and beautiful.

This was purchased as a replacement for a glass gazing globe that unfortunately got broken in a windstorm. Being steel, I'm sure that won't be an issue now! My only complaint is that it won't work with the stand we had for the previous one: the old globe had a post at the bottom that was held in a socket in the stand, this globe is strictly spherical, with no knob. Lily's Home does make a stand for this globe, but it's only 9" high, which is a little shorter than we'd want. However, I'm sure we'll get over this slight inconvenience!

I used this for an outdoor Christmas decoration, placing it in the middle of a Sago palm so it looked like an oversized red ornament, and ringed it with a string of mini-lights. It looked awesome, and we got a lot of compliments about it. Since it's stainless steel, no worries about rust or corrosion outdoors- great purchase!

Was initially very pleased with this product however after a few weeks a line has appeared across the sphere. Very disappointed as it ruins the appearance.
