One can get a fairly decent double electric pump for less money, but a manual pump has the advantage of not needing power and being very quiet. However one does have to operate it by hand. This is larger than some other manual pumps. I suppose where/how one holds the pump depends on size and shape of one's breast, but for me it is a bit awkward. I find reaching across my chest and using the hand opposite the breast is more comfortable, but that precludes nursing and pumping at the same time. I can use it with the hand on the same side but for me that puts my wrist at an uncomfortable angle.

I love this pump and I’m now obsessed with Limerick!I love to hike and be on the move so having something this convenient when I don’t have my electric pump handy is a game changer.It’s easy to clean and reassemble. It has a strong vacuum. I figured out pretty quickly that I could control the level of the vacuum and compressions by how far I squeezed the handle. It never tugged and just felt like baby nursing.There are written instructions that come with the pump that are helpful and it’s easy to use. After using it a few times, I called Limerick because I had a question and a person answered the phone! She was very helpful and knowledgeable and I really appreciate all the time she spent with me answering all my questions.I also learned they are a female owned business. There’s so much thought that went into their design and their customer care. Limerick is truly women helping women. Just try the pump, you won’t regret it

Wow so impressed with how easy, comfortable and efficient this pump is! I LOVE the Love pump!! I especially love the soft cup and the fact that the pump action is so different than any other pump I have tried. It doesn't pull on my nipple!!! It hugs it and feels so much like my baby nursing. I don't need to worry about what size breast cup to use (the cups are made of silicone and are so soft) ... it takes the worry out of pumping!! I was able to adjust the strength of the vacuum by how far down I squeezed the handle. The vacuum felt strong. I noticed if I held the handle down a little longer, I was able to get more milk (watch your flow of milk) and my hand did not get tired. So so so happy with this purchase!

This pump is awesome! The silicone cup & pumping mechanism is super comfortable!! It works great and I easily control how strong the vacuum & compression are by how far I squeeze the handle. I noticed using a faster pumping motion in the beginning to get my milk to let down / start the flow was most effective. I like how easy it is to clean and reassemble...AND ... it packs up easily so I can take it anywhere & still enjoy outdoor activities like hiking and playing pickleball. The box & packaging is great too! I love my Love breast pump!

I love manual pumps a bit more than electric ones so I thought I would give this one a try. It has A LOT of pieces and I like to sterilize a bunch of different baby things together so it was a bit tough keeping track of every piece and then putting the pump back together and in the process I almost lost pieces. For the pumping aspect, it did the job. It wasn’t uncomfortable and the suction felt normal for a manual pump. Not using the correct flange size can cause for pain/discomfort while pumping. I know others get tired by the constant squeezing of the handle but I just put on a good show and relax while I pump so I don’t really notice. This definitely isn’t my favorite pump and I have others I would use over it but I would say give it a try and see how it works for you.

I have been pumping for close to a year and a half now. I've tried ALL the electric pumps and don't respond very well and it takes me forever to empty. My go to is the Medela Harmony hand pump with a 21 mm hard flange. The silicone flange for this is supposedly a one size fits all due to the way that it compresses. It looks like it actually is a size 21. There's far more bad qualities to this pump than good and overall I am not impressed and have no interest in continuing to use it.It is super gentle and comfortable. Usually pumping can be a bit uncomfortable or feel like annoying pulling and make me swell. This felt very similar to nursing where it's a gentle tickle type of feeling. That makes it pretty easy to get a letdown. I also like that this comes with a 4 oz bottle instead of the standard 5 oz. I'm a just enougher and don't make gallons of milk a day so it's nice to have the bottle not be quite so large.This pump is VERY top heavy and kind of tall, a few inches taller than my usual hand pump. That makes it hard to hold without it feeling awkward and annoying while sitting down to pump. You can't stand this up without the base, it will fall over. The base is HUGE and useless. The pump immediately falls over when put in the base whether the bottle is empty or full. Your best bet is to set the bottle into a tallish sturdy coffee cup to avoid falling over.There aren't SO many pieces to clean but there are more than I'm used to and I find that to be annoying. The way this is set up with the weird white plastic cage around the silicone flange makes it kind of impossible to see if milk is going into the tube so you know when the flow has stopped. Towards the end of pumping I have to do some hands on pumping and squeeze my breasts while pumping and I wasn't able to do that with this pump, it makes the flange come off of me and loses suction immediately.I was only able to get less than half of my usual output with this pump any time I have used it. It gets me a good letdown but once that's stopped I get nothing. I feel like I'd want the flange to actually be smaller. I've always had to follow it with LOTS of hand expression or using my other pump to finish. I would not recommend this pump.

I bought this pump before spending money on the electric pump and I could not get this pump to work. I tried with my IBCLC as well. It pinches down on the nipple as was extremely painful. The IBCLC read all paperwork and tried it as well and said it looked all wrong and looked very painful (it was!). Never got a drop of milk out of it.
