This is an outstanding smart charger. Build quality is solid, and it delivers serious power with 300W AC and 700W DC (350W per channel). It handles everything I throw at it — from 1S to 6S LiPo, LiFe, NiMH, and more — with no issues. The dual channel feature is a huge plus for charging multiple batteries efficiently. Easy plug-and-play setup and intuitive interface. For the price, this is a great buy for anyone serious about RC or battery-powered gear. Very happy with this charger!

I used this to charge up some batteries after winter storage so I could run some cars around the backyard. It worked as it should with the G-Tech Gens Ace batteries, as well as working for 2S battery packs with the normal balance connector. It came with a set of connectors for some common RC batteries, and adapters are available to convert the XT60 output of the charger to whatever type of battery you run.The cables it came with are XT60 to EC3, EC5, and Deans T plug.It did not come with a DC power in cable, that uses the same XT60 connector as the outputs. It also came with an AC power cord and a USB A to USB A cable for updating the firmware of the charger.I did notice an odd issue when charging the G-Tech batteries, whatever side you plugged in first, A or B, would show an estimate of the time remaining that was close to the time it would take. But when you plugged in the second channel, the first channel would now indicate a much shorter time until done, and the longer estimated time would go to the second channel. When this happened, the time remaining on both channels would not count down properly. When the first battery was almost done it would start to count down. For example, plug in battery A first, it indicates 28 min, but when you plug in B, A now indicates 3 min and B says 28 min. A will not start to count down until it is almost done, indicating 3 min the entire time, and B will indicate 28 min until it was almost done, and then it may or may not count up some. The second channel used will not count down to the end of the charge. This does not seem to affect the actual charging of batteries, it just can be a little confusing when you put a pair of the same batteries on the charger and one is now done and the other looks to have 1/2 an hour to go?With batteries that use the normal balance connector, this is not seen as the charger does not know the capacity of the battery, so it can't estimate how long to full charge. It only shows you the % of charge. With the G-Tech batteries, it is very easy to use, just plug the battery in and after a short time out it will start charging the battery. Before charging the batteries it gives you the short time out to allow you to interrupt the auto charge cycle if you would like to do something else besides charge. With batteries that only have the normal balance connector, you have to tell it what to do, but if you have several batteries to charge, it will remember the settings used last and is just waiting for you to start the charge. The settings menu on the charger is easy to use, and has an easy learning curve for the user.Overall this is an easy charger to use, it will charge any battery that has a balance connector, as well as the G-Tech ones. It will also charge NiMH batteries. It looks to be well built and is fairly compact. The fan only runs when needed, and it can be used on normal AC as well as a DC battery in the field if needed.

This is a compact. dual charger that can be powered from AC (100 - 240V cable supplied) or DC (7 - 30V via a rear XT60 connector). At 5.5 x 3 x 2.5 inches, it weighs 544 g and has a small, bright IPS color display. There's a built in fan that runs automatically as needed and it comes supplied with several charge adaptor cables (including Deans/T) in case your batteries are not fitted with XT60 connectors. The user interface is all done with 4 buttons which are fairly intuitive. If you plug in a Gtech/Gens Ace battery, the charger automatically reads the battery info via an extra pin on the balance connector and will start charging automatically, a great feature if you use Gtech batteries. You can also connect regular LiPos (and other types) with (or without) JST balance plugs but, for non-Gtech batteries, you will need to initiate charging manually after checking the parameters - mainly charge current as the voltage/number of cells is detected automatically. You can mix battery types on the 2 charging sides labeled A and B.I tested it charging from AC and DC; a 5S, 4000 mAh LiPo battery plugged into the rear DC input. There's no on off switch so the unit goes straight into action as soon as you apply power - after a brief logo screen displayed during boot up. While setting up a specific battery to charge, the display dedicates itself to one channel and you can cycle between 3 sub-screens showing individual cell voltages, cell impedances, or a summary showing input voltage and battery voltage. The charger always drops back to a split screen view that shows A and B charge current and voltage (if you're charging a Gtech battery, you see remaining time instead of % charged).Long-pressing the right hand button takes you to an intuitive Settings screen where you can set up various parameters such as minimum input battery voltage which, by default, is set to 7V.The charger worked very well. A minor criticism (not worth losing a star) is that, in the default split screen view (which the charger drops back to after a brief time of button inactivity) there's no visibility of the input voltage; this obviously doesn't matter if you're running on AC but I can envisage someone running their car battery down to 7V if they charge too many batteries without keeping an eye on their car battery voltage. In the 3rd sub screen of the full screen view that you can access by pressing buttons, it does show the input DC voltage but it would be better to have this shown somewhere on the default split screen view.A very capable charger. Highly recommended.
