This arrived with parts for both sides of the trailer, but also with duplicate parts for the same side. Had to return it.

My aluminum frame has a steel subframe that the springs mount on. Time crunch made my mounting options very limited and the upper mount was chopped up and welded to that at a steep angle. Never a bounce and I took some brutal mining roads around the wildfires. Total weight was only ~ 2500 lbs and very happy I installed these.Rinse and repeat next summer!!

There was a wrong sixe part in my kit. Lippert support shipped me the right part quickley.Myy trailer has an underslung axel and little space to the frame.I had to purchase 8" Grade 5 bolts locally and used both the Lippert shock mount and the original springs clamp plates. With a spacer to the frame and bolts into the front spring hanger it made a sweet installation. The trailer doesn't keep rocking after turns or cross winds.Do it!You will like the result.

You must really want to put these on if Lippert did not install mounting plates at the factory. This is not a project for a novice mechanic. Ordered two at the same time. Both were missing parts and both had the wrong parts. Instructions can be found online with a simple search. . A few $100 bucks to get a welder to fabricate top mounting plates to offset from H bean and slideout roll bar. Also, you will have to cut out a piece of the bottom plate if you have Trailer SumoSprings installed.

My first order arrived with all the shock hardware missing. I returned it and a replacement showed up but the axle plate and u-bolts were mismatched. I knew going in I’d need to modify the plate anyway so this isn’t an issue for me personally but this won’t be the case for all. With that said, the kit has solid, quality components. If they can improve on making sure what should be in the box is actually in the box this has potential to be a go-to kit for any DIYer.

This has taken a lot of planning and shopping for parts to install. There weren't instructions and the threading on the U bolts wasn't enough to tighten the plate to the axle without 3.4 inch of shims under the tightening nuts. I had to heat and bend the mounting plate that attaches to the frame to get the angle of the shock to go through the hole in the bracket.Figuring it out, planning, modifying the mounting plate to meet the shock as needed (this took a vice and oxy-acetelyne to heat for bending....not at all easy...then clean away paint residue with wire brushes and repaint the bracket.)Haven't test driven yet. The actual installation was fast compared to the preparation. Quicker to install a shock than to bend the mounting plate so the shock would go through the hole reasonably. If it achieves what we want it will have been worth it. Being retired my time is available for projects I wouldn't have had time for. You've got to have engineering/automotive/vehicle knowledge to figure out this one. Plus specialty tools.

Order 2 sets for my tandem axle trailer. Everything in the kit looks great. Instructions can be found online with a simple search. I did have to modify a few brackets to accommodate my trailer frame shape. All in all a good buy if you are fairly handy. Can't wait to try them on the road

Bolt on my ass, it seems that lippert camt make shock kits to fit the i beam frames that they make, these shock kits are intended for a channel type or box tube type frame, if you can't weld and make things then dont buy these kits for your i beam type frame

This is not a project for a novice mechanic. You will most likely need to modify the brackets, and definitely need to take apart the entire suspension of your trailer. I put a lift on my single axle travel trailer by swapping out the drop axle for a straight axle, upgrading the springs to 5000#, and using this kit to mount shocks. I modified and tack welded the brackets as well as using the bolts. The result is amazing, the trailer rides so nice and smooth and the shocks help to eliminate sway. I definitely recommend this kit if you have some serious do it your self ability.

I purchased two kits for a tandem axel trailer. The first box had all of the correct parts in it but, the second box had the incorrect upper shock mounts in it. I returned the second box and received a third only to discover that the third box also had the incorrect upper shock mounts in it. I made phone calls to try to resolve the issue only to get no ware. In the end, I had to purchase the correct upper shock mounts from the manufacture at an additional cost of $60.00.As far as the shock mount kit, the product is of good quality and it has greatly reduced the bouncing and rocking of my RV trailer, improving the tow ability.
