So I wanted to update my (probably) thirty year old spark plug gapper thinking maybe it wasn't as accurate as it once used to be. Well... when measured against digital calipers the old KASTAR (made in USA) is still nearly dead on accurate. Alternately... I'm not surprised that this lightweight (magnesium? aluminum?) gapping tool (made in Gina) is consistently wrong every 0.05 inches. Rarely does a quality tool company disappoint me. When dependability and accuracy are on the line, the right tool makes all the difference. This low-quality gapper from Lisle will now have me second guessing any future tool purchase.

I was surprised to receive this unit as it was sourced from Lisle China, not US made. Seems about the same quality but time will tell.

once upon a time a creeper caster broke off a creeper, the poor guy that owned that creeper save the caster,then came to realize it could be used as a spark plug gauge.

This caster works horribly. Just take a look at the picture - the hole is terribly off center and it doesn't roll worth a damn. Also, I'm not sure how I'm supposed to mount this to the existing caster since the casters aren't really made to be taken apart, either.
