Chuck body is approximately 3-3/8" diameter, depth is 1-3/4" and weight is only 3 lbs. Handles up to 14"-diameter bowls and turnings with up to a 6"-long spigot when using the standard 50mm jaws. Now I want another one so I don't have to keep switching jaws. This was the least expensive Nova key chuck and would/will buy again.

The T tool is the only way to tighten the jaws and a replacement is nearly $30. A square or hex drive would have been far better because those you can get anywhere. Also it is surprisingly difficult to get inserted correctly, I’m constantly fiddling around trying to get it to drop into its recess so the teeth mesh. It’s awkward and I subtracted one star because of it.Otherwise the chuck is fine. I have it on an ancient and very cheap no-name pos lathe for simple turning of delrin rod.Additional jaw sets are pricy but I expect they’re similar high quality. I maybe should have tried out another one or two of the cheaper ones but I’m not unhappy with this other than the tool. If I eventually buy a better lathe this chuck will move to it.

This is a solid project. It came without any flaws and it is very easy to setup. Going to use it for turning bowls. I've used it a few times and it is works great!
