So far, everything is working great! I installed this DC-DC charger in my van and documented the entire process in a detailed video. If you’re looking for a step-by-step guide, check out my install video here: How to Install a DC-DC Charger in Your Van | Ultimate DIY Guide!.I’ll update this review after some time to share how it’s holding up!

This is a multipurpose charger, essentially. I actually got it to use with my solar panels, to be able to charge LiFePo batteries, and it works well for that. This was the simplest use of this charger, really, as it's designed to be able to run an RV's power system, between two batteries and different inputs... I wasn't able to test all of that, but it works great for plugging in some solar panels and then managing that power to charge lithium batteries.Be aware that you will need your own electrical cord to fully utilize this, as well as some connection terminals. It doesn't have a direct "Anderson" type plug on it, so for solar I had to get some adapters to connect it. That's not a bad comment on this charger, it's just something you'll need to be aware of: that you might nee a few extra connectors or parts to really put this to use. But it's solidly made and holding up very well!

Was running this with some 12v solar panels for a while and was disappointed when I upgraded to 30 VOC CIGS panels and discovered it wouldn’t work (the overload protection would cut out at around 26v). Susan at LiTime let me know their latest version would work for my setup and arranged for a replacement, free of charge. Works like a charm now! Fast DC to DC chargers seem to be pretty popular right now, and there are a number of great options, but this setup takes all the guesswork out of combining solar and alternator charging, which means I can run my fridge all weekend without turning on my truck. It also makes disconnecting my camping setup really easy when I need to use my truck as a truck. Really glad I went with LiTime; customer support was fantastic and they really stand behind their products.

This unit fits perfectly behind my passenger seat in the Tacoma. I especially like the dual input feature of this device so the service battery can be charged by either the Starter battery or by solar panels. It comes with 3 Anderson connectors, mounting screws, and a manual with wiring diagram. Hooked everything up by connecting the service battery first, then the solar panels and then selected the baterry type to charge. Monitored the amperage as it topped off the lithium battery, which then showed fully charged and the current went to zero. So far it's working as expected. The only concern is that the main heat sink is on the bottom, which also recommends mounting vertically so heat travels out the top. I have it mounted horizontally so will monitor the temperature as it does a full charge cycle. Might have to add some cooling if it gets too hot. Overall, I am pleased with this purchase.

I replaced a cheap one from another manufacture. I could never get the old one to work correctly. The installation of this one was fast and easy. It works perfectly. I wish I had done it earlier. Solar is charging my Airstream battery now. The Anderson connector for my solar came unplugged once (trailer driven over rough terrain). I may need to tape it. No big deal.

This is what you want when you install LiPo batteries and they draw too much current from your alternator. It even ramps down slowly when the batteries are full
