Had this chicken waterer before and got rid of it cause we got rid of our chickens. Now we have chickens again wanted to get the same waterer. Thanks for a good product.

Yes, that holds a lot of water. But this thing sucks that it's not exactly level at least. And if you don't have the top tighten it right, it leaks. Don't buy!!

We have had chickens for over 2 years. In that time, our flock has grown greatly. We have used a number of waterers as we have experimented with different ones to find ones that worked for us. We are now up to 5 gallon waterers so that we only have to fill waterers every few days. We have a number of these now as they seem to work best. We like being able to take the top off and fill without worrying about leaking. Close the top and then remove the bottom cap so the water comes out. We do not have to lift and lug the 5 gallon waterer around. These also seem to stay cleaner than the other ones we have used. You won't go wrong with these.Easy to clean.Easy to fill.Less leaking.Less filling.

This is a highly dependable, high quality product that delivers. I've owned several, absolutely no complaints on any of them.

Being a first time chicken owner, I've done a lot of researching, preparing, worrying and stressing. I've been researching for months to find the perfect water container and this is it!! It so easy to use, holds 5 gallons of water, which with 7 chickens, I don'thave to worry about running out of water for quite some time, it's so durable and fills from the top. If you're on the fence about buying this, don't wait any longer, you will love it, I promise!!!

The five gallon ones are obviously heavy and awkward to tote when full, but I love the sturdiness of them. The angles on the base and ridges inside make it harder to clean than say a round waterer, but I have a round one of the same type design from another company and it is a PITA to open and close because it will just spin around in the base when you try to screw the cap on or off, and it is harder to get out of the base than these. This was my 4th one of these (adding more, not replacing! These things hold up over time!) And will defbe buying more as I need in the future!

Finally, a waterer that holds enough water to satisfy my ducks, and is east to fill and clean! It is filled from the top, so I no longer have to flip a waterer over after filling, and losing water in the process. It is heavy when filled, so I use 2 two-gallon jugs to fill it in place during the winter, and will use the hose to fill it in the summer. The container can be pulled out of the base so the base can be cleaned out without carrying the whole unit outside the coop. I recommend placing the waterer on a tote or cement block to raise it off the floor to avoid chickens and ducks kicking debris into it.

Its huge, easy to fill and carry, easy to clean. The one down side is that you have to have it on very level ground or it will leak out completely...hard in a coop environment. Just the slightest tilt will cause it to leak out. Other than that its a great waterer.
