This livestock brush is extremely durable. Even the largest animals find comfort in scratching on it. The bristles are rigid and stand straight up. There are many bristles too which helps to work into the animals fur. The install was simple with my power drill. I went right into the wood so nothing complicated like with anchors. The brush is an excellent addition to my barnyard.

We got these because our 1-year-old horse was super itchy and ripping her mane out trying to scratch her self against the stall walls. Aside from a couple bristles that we found on the ground, it’s holding up well and getting some good use out of it.

One of my cats LOVES using groomer/scratcher type things, so I had a feeling she would like a cattle scratcher. I also figured if it's made for cattle it would be pretty sturdy, which was good since I knew she'd also chew something like this.It turns out she does love it! She really rubs against it and does chew it, and it really does hold up well - there's no marks on it at all despite her really going to town chewing it. This turned out to be great for my cat!

I actually have a couple of these that are used for their real purpose, for the animals. But, I got this one to put outside near the back porch entrance. This is great for brushing off shoes and boots before going close to the house. I take shoes off before entering the house. But this helps keeps the back porch and deck area much cleaner.

My livestock animals are alway scratching their itches on everything and each other. These Livestock Scratching Brushes are just the solution to give them a dedicated place to enjoy rubbing against the bristles with just the right pressure without searching or rubbing against posts that could be damaged. This brush seems very well made and durable for years of use. Easy to drill a hole and mount with enclosed screws. I can always spray and disinfect them, but I expect the rain will clean them and the sun will dry them very adequately.
